Patton. Rommel had Desert fighting, but the only deserts you will find are in Africa. Patton has Street Fighting which can be used everywhere on the map. I don't know each of them good enough to point out small differences, but that is the major one.

But Rommel can be compared to Vatutin, since Rommel has better surviving and movement, and Vatutin has crazy output.

I've, personally loved Rommel, due to his survivability. In fact, he is probably one of the few generals I have which can take a hit and live to fight another day...but I would go for Patton. He's much better if you don't survivability:P

Shouldn't Patton have better survivability because of his Blitzkrieg skill? Anyway, historically, I like Rommel but in this game I prefer Patton.

I agree, kanue. I've always liked Rommel. He, in my opinion, was one of the more...what's the word..............honorable Germans? No, that's not it, but I'm sure you get the point.

Brilliant general? and there were many honorable Germans during WW2. On the topic of Patton vs. Rommel. I personally like Rommel but Patton is just better

I know about the "honorable" thing. I did say that wasn't the word I was looking for, after all<

Patton is not comperable to Rommel, matter of fact he can't be compared to any german general, however hes much like rokossovsky in his tactics

Well, Rommel is great in Africa due to his desert fighting skill, but, frankly, he loses this massive damage boost anywhere else.
