My best runs in 1939 are 18 turns Yugoslav 1st, 23 turns Belgian army group, 24 turns Danish army group. I'm pretty sure I have better runs than 23 turns but I can't remember them. My best 1941 runs are Soviet 4th 21 turns, Yugoslav 22 turns, Soviet 1st 23 turns. My best 1942 runs are German A 16 turns x2, and Italian 2nd 17 turns.

Zhukov, Manstein, Guderian, Patton and Eisenhower. Okay, so when you say "one man army" you mean a single unit army? Or a single general army? I recently have noticed running a 6 when possible and splitting it up as I go until I'm down to one or two is far quicker than conquering a city then moving outwards to capture territory. I could run the idea of the 5 gens, I find on one star's I often need 2 top tiers together for the initial attack without losing half my units. My tech is lacking in Air/Navy at lv. 2 but I have 6 one Inf/Tank & 5 on Art. I figure with some practice I could definitely speed up my runs. My two best runs are 18 German army group B and 19 Yugoslav 2nd army group. I suppose it's not bad as my old 40s were lol In early, they're single gen army (with initial units as support) but after all non gen units die, they become single unit army except you need to face very strong gen (Rommel, Guderian...) or 4 above tank group (Eisenhower), you need some meat shield/damage support for those cases.

Lol I just did a 1941 Soviet 4th Army Group run in 19 turns, with better tech (my tech is very basic), planning (I killed off my own Vasilevsky and Timoshenko for no good reason) and luck I can bring it down 2-3 turns
