Is it possible to assemble a good team from Russian generals? The price doesn't matter. Undoubtedly Suvorov and Golitsyn, perhaps Kutuzov or Bagration ... Ermolov? Raevsky? Kutaisov? Who else? The opinion of experts is interesting.

Well, I think Russia is the best option if you’re going to make a team from a one country. So what do we need for a good team? infantry - definitely Suvorov. He’s the best infantry general in the game, no doubt. Lannes? He has a leadership and geography which are useless for infantry. Victoria? She has no formation but instead she has def/assault art which trigger maybe in 10% of situations, so formation is much more reliable option. That makes Suvorov the best inf general in the game in my opinion. cavalry - Golitsyn. No words needed. 2 cavalry focused skills. 5 cav stars and decent movement. Golytsin is op. Raevsky - high movement, 2 cav skills. Just upgrade his cav stars and he’ll be as good as Golitsyn is. artillery - Kutaisov (explosive + siege master) has enough potential to be one of the best art general in the game. I love him a lot. Sophia ( she is a Russian princess so I think you can add her in your squad) is the best fort cracker and overall damage dealer. These 2 are more than enough to fill your artillery generals position. Bonus: Moreau. Yes, Moreau changed his side to the Russian army and become a Russian general in 1813 so if you want he also can be in your team. navy - Ushakov. 5 navy stars, navigation. And even accurate so he’s navy/arty hybrid. Just buy him. And than we have Kutuzov. He’s infantry oriented hybrid. Fireproof is good for everything same as the defense art. Formation and siege master are also decent skills which means you can use him as arty/inf general. Buying Kutuzov isn’t necessity but if you decide to buy him it will make your team much more versatile, so it’s up to you. So what do we have in conclusion? Best infantry general? Check. Two op cavalry general? Check. Two best arty gens (Sophia and Moreau) with decent Kutaisov? Check. Second best navy general? Check. And my fav Kutuzov whom you can use just everywhere? Check. That means that Russia is the best country to choose in your situation. P.S. Bagration is nothing compared to Suvorov, because of his two useless skills. Yermolov is art/inf hybrid but you have the best inf and 2 best art generals what makes Yermolov has no reason of being in your squad.

Econ: Alexander I with Economic Master and 5 stars trading, the Czar is the obvious choice. He only has two infantry stars but with Spy he can do decent damage vs. forts on guards.
The six general Russian squad: Suvorov- infantry Golitsyin and Raevsky- cavalry Kutaisov and Ushakov- artillery/ navy Alexander- Econ/ infantry

Suvorov, Golitsyn, Barclay, Ushakov, Sophia, Yermolov.
If Sophia doesn't count, Kutaisov.

I just got it in the store, I really wanted to take it.

"Lannes? He has a leadership and geography which are useless for infantry" - Geography may be useless, but I don't agree that leadership is useless. It allows you to throw your general in the hordes of enemies and stand strong until reinforcements arrive. See the 1809 conquest. Lannes is the one who holds out in Bilbao (I think) against Morocco, Spain and Portugal. He can even stand as a wall, blocking the enemy units with ease.

True but leadership is so much more valuable on cavalry because you can go into a crowded space and defeat multiple enemies.

Suvorov, Golitsyn, Barclay, Ushakov, Sophia, Yermolov. If Sophia doesn't count, Kutaisov. Why Barclay? Because I value Siege Master over Surprise. Considering I already have Sophia, I would prefer an inf-cav hybrid, which leaves me only Kutuzov and Barclay. Barclay has Bugle.

It’s not very smart to throw inf general into the hordes of enemies. However leadership + geography + assault art makes Lannes decent cav general whom you can put behind the enemy lines.

Ok, you caught me there Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim. I take back my sentence and say 'IF'. Coming to your second statement, I will try it out
