Italy 1914 challenge conquest- help!

Does anyone know how to do italy 1914 challenge conquest? It seems so easy but so hard at the same time, I am normally faced with a lot of austrian and bulgarian spam, and later it gets worse due to the ottomans intervening. I have tried multiple attempts of spamming armored cars from rome, but my gens only make advances, only to retreat to defend due to low health and then settling to the area around venice. I once did have a run where i took berlin but then the austrian spam killed  many of my generals any help? 

note i normally use 2 inf- 4 or 5 cav and 3 art for this campaign. I don't use beatty or hipper for italy.
