I want to know which team is recommended for me and why. I get each spot step by step, generally not doing anything too flashy. I am a bit of a spendthrift, so I don't want to lose too much money. Also, If you look at this, tell me which gen I should get first and, if possible, give an in-depth guide. In addition, how can I use Save/Load if I want to abandon a previous game?

This game is really suitable to most lineups except an arty oriented one. For EW5, the advice is to pick your favourite troop type (inf, archer or cav). For inf, weak atk and steady HP loss wins the day, except against cav units. Thanks to the update that gives them rage regen, a double Commander (Barbarossa and Peter/Petain) will provide the necessary atk boost. A 3rd inf gen will provide whatever else you need. For example, Caesar provides Healing and atk without taking counter attacks while Alexander can be used as a building cracker. For cav, you hit hard and fast, but if there are archers, you'll start to be worn extremely down quickly, more so than inf with -25% dmg from Archers. Blücher provides the defensive aura, Atilla provides the offensive aura and Saladin with Gungnir is a tougher glass cannon. Black Prince Edward may be a dark horse. For archers, you shred the enemy troops and you die more easily, a perfect example of a glass cannon. Nobunaga Oda shreds all troops, Nelson is a renowned gen for his 3-hex and aura, Li Hongzhang is a good anti-cav gen with aura and Leadership, Yi Sun-sin is a dark horse with his defensive aura and Catherine is an anti-archer dark horse.

Otherwise, Thank you very much.

Barbarossa is a must, Peter or Petain as another commander, and Richard with Gungnir would be the strongest imo. Caesar is a great infantry general too if you want a fourth, but just bear in mind that if you give him an active artefact you're sacrificing his healing skill, which is a great team buff. 3. Save/Load isn't necessary for this game.
