Just started my first ever, does number of turns matter for rewards? Locally I'm doing ok but my AI allies are dying fast, is it worth persisting? It's turn 20 now and I don't see it being doable in under 50-60 turns

Hi mate, forgive me I'll be so bold to say I've no need for practice. AG and this is like 2 different games really. Also have some experience in WC3 where I farmed 1* conquests that's why I ask is there extra rewards for finishing under X turns or something. All I wanted to know. If you did more than one, with significant difference in speed, is there any difference in rewards?

Not sure, didn't start on it yet.

From my experience(so far) conquest mode is much easier than AG since the enemy ai doesn't seem to be very good at defending and you can very quickly speed through a legion after you start gaining momentum. Late game is mostly spamming paratroopers to take cities and buildings while using other fast special forces to assist in harder captures. However, I have noticed that since the map is so large(relative) it takes quite awhile to finish each conquest, though it may just be an issue on my side since I like to really think through every turn. And as for allied ai they are as incompetent as always.
So my overall summary is:
Conquest is usually easier than ag[note I'm only on my first conquest(as Poland) so take this with a grain of salt]
Conquest takes a pretty long time to finish
Conquest is very heavily focused on your utilisation of special forces.
Another note: something I do quite often is take allied buildings with some fast infantry and paratroopers like I would för enemy buildings. This gives me an absurd amount of income to work with(I'm currently on turn 31 and my income is over 900) and usually you can make better use of the income than your allies.
Would like to hear more of your thoughts on this though.

european-war-4.boards.net/user/11178 that's just the thing, time and ai not defending. so far have seen example Italian African front landing in Balkans ignoring the fact Italy itself was being killed, not to mention they left absolutely nothing in Africa... So they settled in YU+ROM while ROM moved to PL not giving a single about defence of their base. Every single unit on the map, friendly or hostile, seems to be attracted by a same point on the map - I remember WC3 where all AIs would head to Danmark, here it see to be Moscow (again, after turn 20 or so; before that yes you can say idk Rommel will try for Cairo, but after...) it's not hard to win some land or even win the whole thing, but it drags on forever - AIs should be given zones of responsibility, prioritize defence of it over taking a hike to Siberia. Possibly even max extension of interest, so you wouldn't see Ukrainian front in Gibraltar or ita african troops in Gdansk. Just sloppy coding

I didn't realize that we never answered your question, bosco. The number of turns you take does not matter for rewards. You get all the rewards for simply completing a conquest. Also, there's no ranking for a conquest win. So don't worry about trying to get an S or A rank.
