Then you should have disclosed that before giving advice to newer players. If individuals want to play thematically, then they may say so. Advocating for infantry generals when someone wants “help with next general,” thereby asking for the optimal path, is simply unhelpful. I seriously doubt the game can even be completed with your lineup. Because there's no intention to help newer member on his comment. Boasting here and there, worst than Patton. Not to pick fights, but journey did not help either. Both ended up spamming the thread. You did post to help once, but contributed to the nonsense afterwards. I will say infantry generals aren't completely useless, but shouldn't be a choice for a third general imo. It's great someone made it work, which does present the option, but this would probably factor in knowing how to use an infantry general as support, which most probably don't. Infantry generals are most useful in invasions. I have Yamashita for that. I may also get Rundstedt, unless there's another infantry general that's better than him. As for third general, I'm biased toward Graziani because he's better than Rommel imo. But my gens are maxed, Graziani has cross and revolution medals. So non maxed Rommel may be better than non maxed Graziani. Between Rommel and Nimitz, i'd go with Nimitz, because a player will need naval generals for the pacific scenarios, as well as naval invasions.

Not picking anyside between Journey and him, but journey indeed helping in another threads (though it seems that he's not, here), while the other one wasn't provide any help here and on another threads. Never said that infantry gen was useless at all, i used Yamashita too on conquest, but we know when we should really buy the inf. gen (for me, when we have at least 2 tanks,2 arty, and navy). Beside, in TS case, he's in the cold war, and need to pick between Rommel and Nimitz. Imo, wise for him to pick Rommel and for Nimitz he can switch to Kuznetsov temporarily. Imo again, if he pick Nimitz, who'll be his 2nd tank gen that cheaper but not far from Rommel? I don't mind about people saying Graziani is better than Roko and Rommel, it depends on their style of play.

Yeah my entire response wasn't all to you, the infantry part was to journey as he seemed to suggest they are useless early on. That's my bad, I should have made that clear. I also didn't feel like sending out multiple posts. Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to be rude to you. I don't know who/what TS is. My last part was to the original poster, i suggested Nimitz assuming he hadnt reached pacific yet. But if he is in cold war, I would then suggest Rommel or Graziani. I think Graziani equipped right is a beast. As I mentioned the cross medal and revolution medal + panzer and AA, he not only has longevity but my highest damage roll at 525. Guderians highest is around 300. I should mess around and see what Guderian could do.

TS means thread starter, my bad that i use a popular term (maybe only) in my country to refer the original poster. For any gold tanks gen, it's easy to give higher damage if they're given right medals and damage skills, ignoring their price and effectivity. We also must consider the type of enemy unit (defense attribute) and how many stacked unit they are. Attacking an enemy infantry/arty will result higher damage than double or triple heavy tanks. For my own record, i had Rommel hit a 600ish (to non tanks) and 300ish (to tank) counterattack damage without AA & PL medals (only crossfire and jungle medal). We know that Guderian can achieve that damage too with medals on him.

Grazi and Nimitz are the main other options, maybe Timo or Arnold.

I don't clearly remember but it may have been an armored car, probably single or double stacked. If it was an infantry unit I don't think I would be surprised because I know how weak they are, so high damage is expected with them. I only wish ET could let us apply the same medals to all general types, meaning cross medal for all my tank generals, etc. Plus Graziani has mountain fighting so that adds +25.

I hope so, since every tank gen need armored assault, so it's good if every tank gen can have hero medal.
