Has anyone else notice that it is only 1947 and Chang'e already has the best generals in the game? She must be a super farmer!! It is very very hard because it is just the beginning of the game. I believe that she spent a lot of money on this.

I might sound really dumb but I must get myself over Rommel! (So Macarthur is my next gen.)

well then don't go for MacArthur get Rommel/Patton or Konev/Badoglio and it differs on how high you have one eyed guys...

Eisenhower is not getting me through the purple Navy Mission Okinawa. I need the navy missions for Teracotta.
purtylee: I have Guderian, Govorov, Patten, Manstein, Zhukov, Eisenhower, Goring.
purtylee: Great Pyramids and Cuzco unlocked.
purtylee: Thinking of getting Yamamoto. Eisenhower does not have Fleet Leader and does not have Shelter. Both are required for this mission. 5000 medals

Ok, now that I've learned that the missions take a certain amount of luck, I am glad I stayed with Eisenhower and did not pick up Yamamoto. It appears that sometime you us have to try the mission repeatidly to get through.
It seems to me that everything Goring and Yamamoto can do, Eisenhower does better.

If you have more than 20% for mission, you can do it (higher or lower chance), 20 or less - not. I did all missions with some 3 navy stars ECs and other non-navy gens. Guderian, Vasilevsky, Govorov and Badoglio (don't remember who of them has navy stars, but not many in total). And only for the last navy mission (just for fun, I have already got Terracota long ago) I bought 2 cheapest navy gens. If you have Eisenhower, just add some navy stars to your ECs - that's cheap and you will need it for some navy challenges, and you will be able to clear all navy missions.

I wonder if there is any other General I need. Its seems if you have more generals, the one advantage is you can run multiple missions.
