Actually there could be some interesting twists. For example, Timoshenko can be an excellent general for Antarctic campaigns if his skills will be bigger versions rather than lesser. What do we know about Antarctic? Yes, there is a lot of snow in it

So, otherwise useless bonus could all of a sudden become viable.

Yeah, I forgot about Snow in Antarctica. Besides, two other skills of Timoshenko aren't a trash either, so better versions of them could make him a serious damage dealer... But since we don't know exactly how this system works it is all a speculation so far...

Counterattack isn't great for Artillery but nonetheless our Artillery pieces are attacked and sometimes more often than we wished to Together with snow fighting such counterattacks might be very painful...

Konev has the same amount of infantry ability as artillery ability and all his skills are usable on any type of army unit. Would he not be better on infantry since Crossfire is better for infantry?

I played both Antarctic missions in GoG Classic and if the paradigm is the same, - we'll have almost exclusively heavy tanks and elite Artillery units... In such situation I am afraid Infantry doesn't stand a chance, like it was the case in WC4 Modern war. Yes, we can operate behind the lines and use paratroopers but likely that is all...

Oh, you are talking about the campaign specifically, not in general.

I recall many were fascinated by Mannerheim and Yamashita in WC4. But actually there were some bad omens right from the start. Especially amazingly low HP in comparison to tanks...
