I am trying to perfect clear the campaigns before proceeding to the next one. I am almost done with Pacific 1942. I only have two *missions left. I am doing this mainly for general medals so that I can get the generals I want/need. I feel that the game would be impossible if I didn't get the medals from perfect clearing the missions/campaigns. I have not purchased anything with real money. Mainly, because I don't like games that are pay-to-win. Which is ironic, since I feel that Easytech really deserves at least a few bucks for this game. Sorry for the long post haha. I just finished the New Guinea Campaign with a huge amount of luck after many tries.I defeated Nimitz with a barely living paratrooper on the 20th turn. I thought I had lost, but then I noticed him on his tiny island and sent him straight to his death next to MacArthur so he can shoot his machine gun at a battleship. I have 2-3-2-2-2 tech and Guderian, Leeb, Yamashita as extra axis generals. I really would have needed Yamamoto though, but I am saving for Rommel to use for the next two campaigns (African and Western Europe 1944). There is definitely a difficulty miscalibration on certain levels. I just hope the difficulty is not extreme so as to encourage people to pay-to-win. Thanks for reading

Actually it is a question for players who started the game relatively recently because early on you simply didn't have a choice. There were only two campaigns available and they added later campaigns one by one. As for the overall difficulty of campaigns I have to admit they somewhat lowered it in comparison to original GoG Classic and Pacific. F2p players had a significant disadvantage in these games since they could deploy only one historic general. And truth be told only a handful of players (notwithstanding p2w or f2p) completed it at all. We still don't know anything about last campaigns but I won't be surprised that many players will beat GoG 3 with flying colors.

I don't quite understand what the author means by "cheating" as well. Usually "cheating" means using broken copies of the game with unlimited resources and/or unlocked generals. To me it is a waste of time, to say the truth. The purpose of ET games is to overcome all difficulties by using a hard-won team of generals who work well with each other and by applying a good strategy in every possible situation. In my experience you always will be successful in that kind of games if you are patient and persistent enough without any cheating whatsoever.

I think it might mean coming back to campaigns with better tech and generals previously locked (i.e coming back with patton to clear eastern front 41)

I wrote that option in the poll mainly to differentiate between people who don't perfect clear because they do not attach importance to that style and people who are essentially perfect clearing while giving themselves some "liberties". Now what the "liberties" depends on the individual I guess. This is just a game, a great one at that! All this should be pure entertainment. There is no "right" way to play a game. But yeah, that answer in the poll was essentially meant to gauge guilt for going the normie way hahaha (I repeat, there is no "good", "bad" or "normie" way. This is all in good fun. Unless EasyTech gives out an official statement haha) I'm trying to beat the East Indies Campaign* this week and then off to Malayan Campaign*! They are tough!
