Does anyone have an easy gunpowder conquest recommendation and strategy to go along with it? I really want the keel sword but I can't just yeet my 4 generals in every direction and win like the previous conquests.
Actually, that is quite literally how I did it. You can check
Iron Duke 's YouTube account if he has a video on it.
For any Conquest, you have to pay attention to grand strategy.
Of the states surrounding you, which is the easiest to take down?
Do you have any starting allies? How long will the alliance last?
Do you have any starting enemies? Can you knock the out ASAP?
Are there any geographically significant states? France is a major barrier and great for thinning your battle line.
If not, a typical good 3* state is China. You usually cannot go wrong with picking China.
For China, attack Korea and Japan at the same time with two separate army groups.
Follow up with a major invasion of North America via two fronts: Canada and Aztec-Southern USA.
Invade Russia with two army groups via Central Asia and the Far East.
Follow up by attacking Denmark-Norway as well as Austria-Hungary or Germany/Prussia.
Block Siam and the Ottoman Empire off.
Time your diplomatic maneuvers such that France's protection is maximised.
Look for potential states to turn friendly and block off key entry ways.
If you're used to GOG3's Army Group mode, this isn't too different.
