I've actually found that Hoth has some advocates in this board. Also, I forgot about Tassigny, he is way more overrated than Hoth. Tassigny is by no means overrated, and what about Horthy then? You explained Horthy yourself. You said he's worse than Darlan, which I agree with it. For me personally, Horthy tries to be navy and infantry, but isn't even average at either. Tassigny is outclassed by Slim in almost every way. Slim hits harder consistently and has better survivability than Tassigny because reserve + guerrilla > fire suppression + guerrilla. Also, Tassigny's fire suppression is the weaker version, only reducing damage by 20%. |

Dowding only does the same amount of damage when attacking buildings because he has 5 more air damage and the carpet bombing skill. I never got the impression that Halsey was underrated though. I thought it was clear that Dowding, because of his +15 damage on infantry and his paratrooper skill, is better on land, while Halsey, because of his more consistent air damage and his sea scout skill, is better on the seas. |
