SmiglyA very good infantry general that is also a very good price performer available early on. Garrison will make him invaluable as a city defender, he has good stars, and guerilla is good to. He is also an amazing paratrooper But as you can’t sell him, he won’t be effective late game thus he is a bad purchase. Based on that last sentence, I think Smigly deserves an orange.

If you get Smigly, he wont suck but he won’t be useful in a month. However, in that time period imo he can pretty helpful as a parachuter or a cheap infantry general available earlier on. We can get a lot of medals from ads and weekly rewards after all. And Messe is very mediocre outside of africa

Model will be curved up to green soon. I understand the hype now. Leclerc is average imo should still stay there.

It's very easy for a beginner to fall into the trap of buying something cheap to help with a limited, short-term objective.

Hence their high ratings. However, I will acknowledge your arguments and reduce the bad or merely ok cheapos ratings.

YamamotoYamamoto is a very good general. However, in rating him it is more important to compare him to Student and Kesselring. When compared to both, Yamamoto is far worse in land combat than either, and is a meh paratrooper. However, in terms of raw damage, yamamoto has a lot as all of his perks are focused and he has carpet bombing. Overall, if you want a general that is only good at airforce, Yamamoto is the one as all of his skills are focused. If you want a good paratrooper and decent air force general, student is by far the best option. If you want something in the middle, kesselring. Do take into account that Yamamoto is not that good on naval units either. Only carriers and fast moving land units.

Model will be curved up to green soon. I understand the hype now. Leclerc is average imo should still stay there. Leclerc has +10 damage on mountains and +2 movement that allows him to not get bogged down in mountains. His +12% chance to attack again means he consistently gets extra attacks on a tank. Messe has 30% damage reduction against artillery/airforce and artillery units are tank killers. His +12% crit rate is a nice bonus. I admit that his +5 damage in deserts is not good. The only negative ranking I agree with is Arnold being yellow because his skills are pretty bad.

Messe's main selling point is camouflage and it doesn't protect Messe against anti-tank infantry and other tanks. I like Camouflage because artillery and airforce can outrange infantry and tanks.

RaederA decent navy general, but a horrible purchase considering you get ozawa and riccardi for free later on.

TitoHe is fast, crits hard, and has guerilla. However, Smigly is way better and even Smigly is an arguably bad choice due to him being replaceable later on.

KruegerHad the potential to be the Allied bock, but considering he is unlocked so late, becomes the allied Boris instead. By pacific 1945, a general with only leadership and bad movement will not serve you any purpose.

VoronovOverhyped. Get him and you’ll quickly realize that he is worse than Chuikov and Alexander. Even Simonds is way better, and he isn’t good enough.
