Imo 4.5 stars on infantry and 5.5 stars in cities makes him an amazing purchase as none of the other russian infantry generals are any good. Any other opinions?

Perso, I have a strict "no under 3* gen" policy. Except Greim, you don't know Greim like I do 😊.

Huh people don’t like malinovsky. I mean, bayonet charge lvl 2 for a cheap general is pretty good combined with urban fighting.

It would be nice to have a decent infantry unit on the eastern front without having to purchase tassigny or slim tho

Where you’ll also probably pick up Govorov and Roko too? Just the massive amounts of AoE damage renders an infantry general totally unecessary as you’ll easily find stacks to kill even with cossacks without generals. I mean having any extra tools for low prices are nice to have, but pretty unecessary with the tools that’s given to you for free or should be picked up at this point.

I mean Malinvosky does not stand a chance.

A lot of the eastern front is covered in snow so Timoshenko is just 5 damage away and a weak anti-armor away from being basically the same as Vatutin for most of that campaign. Plus Vatutin is slow and there’s very few ways you can fix that at that point.

But he is still amazing especially as a starter general because of his price.

To me, Vatutin's lack of mobility is negligible, but that's an opinion that nobody else agrees with.
