Who is the most underrated general in ew4?
I think it has to be Arnold because tier 3 are always overlooked

Likely going to get refuted, Berthier is one of the most underrrated 2nd tier general because of his cavalry skill (assuming he is fully upgraded).

In all seriousness, Washington seems to get a worse rap than he should.

Sokolniki. Accuracy and engineering are such an OP combo for an artillery general. Somehow Scharnhorst gets all the love Sokolniki is ignored (because he isnt a trainer).
Berthier has been discussed repeatedly in the forum, some believe ge is the best, others the worst.

Though I played with him in Polish1775 conquest, as cavalry, he was still handy.

In all seriousness, Washington seems to get a worse rap than he should. Blucher falls down after some hits and he has to stay in cities to recuperate then. Washington is perfect for holding cities. Otherwise I don't knoe about him. But Washington is perfect for campaigns.

If you are going for an all tier-1 lineup then Sokolnicki and Junot are mandatory. Berthier is for conquest lovers. I don't find this skill useful on cavalry (even artillery) in campaigns.

Even then, I disagree. Geography is replaceable with the war horse, but leadership isn't. Once move is maxed out, I am not sure even where that gets you, 6 hexes on light and heavy cav? Your best cav general should be on guards or the armored car. Movement of 15 or 17 still gets you to five hexes.

Leadership on cavarly is less good than it is on other units as they can’t be demoralized by other cavarly. That’s not the beauty if berthier. Once you upgrade movement to 4 stars, he doesn’t need any additional movement, meaning you can give him a snair drum and cavalry pistol. Lan needs a war horse badly, Sophia needs the other war horse. There are only two war horses in the game so another cav will be slow moving like a turtle.
