As you know, the missions in a theater are all grouped into parts and each part has a star mission at the end. After you beat a mission, you get reinforcement supplies as a reward. You accumulate supplies as you beat missions in a group and these accumulated supplies are used in the star mission of that group.
I just realized that the amount of supplies you get from beating missions is dependent on the amount of sub-conditions achieved. For example, if you somehow failed to complete all the sub-conditions of Blitzkreig, you will get 0/150 supplies. If you occupy Gdansk in time, but fail to kill Juliusz and Smigly in time, you will get 50/150 supplies. If you kill the generals in time, but don't occupy Gdansk in time, you will get 100/150 supplies. If you get a perfect clear, you will get 150/150 supplies. Each sub-condition in this level is worth 50 supplies. Thus, by perfect clearing levels, you will have an easier time at the star missions. It took me too long to realize this because I never beat a level without perfect clearing it. I feel very stupid right now.

Yeah, Unfortunately I realized this a long time a go. It literally lists the challenge mission which it gives supplies to. Look under the mission.

I replayed the tutorials to see if there was anything. That's how I double checked my thoughts.
