Hello guys! I started playing WC3 in 2016 and I started again to play this year. This is the first time I successfully finished all conquests (I may post a thread about Japan 1975. The current Japan 1975 guide is incomplete). My generals are Govorov, Badoglio, Guderian, Patton, Goring, and Konev. I have max tech in tank, lvl 11 artillery and para-motorized infantry. I also finished most of the missions and built all medal wonders, so I have currently accumulated 3340 medals. I am currently stuck at Union 3: Oil Crisis. I am currently following Erich von Manstein 's beginner's guide to WC3, and I am currently choosing between Rommel and Vatutin promoted to L General. Rommel users and Vatutin users of late game, I want to hear your opinion and experience. I want to make every medals worth it. If L General Vatutin will be enough to push through Union 3, I am buying him and I will have more medals for starting to build my EC artillery commander. But if not, then Rommel. |

I like how Rommel works a lot. He is the most survivable tank generals in the game. Vatutin is slow, but he is also cheap for a 5* panzer general. I personally would rather Rommel over Vatutin. |

I can't say if one is definitively better than the other, but what I know is aliens 7 and 8, two of the most notoriously hard campaigns, start with two heavy tanks. Rommel can move 4 grids on those but Vatutin can't. Rommel's Ace or Vatutin's Plain is a preference issue but I won't count on them for the main damage dealer.
