Operation Mercury and Battle Of Crete is really getting on my nerves. It seems like they want me to use navy badly, yet it is not logical, at least for Operation Mercury. I tried using navy for Battle Of Crete, and I got shut down a lot earlier while simultaneously bringing much more down with me. This still doesn't work. Help on both these missions are much appreciated.

Do not worry, I personally didn't struggle with these missions but I hear almost everyone on the forum did. I personally cant make a guide since I have maxed tech and any strategy I use would be hard to follow

I used AA, and I was able to hold out for another round before I get overrun at round 9

Probably yes, general opinions and mission difficulty fluctuate greatly in the community because GoG3 is a game highly dependent on your playstyle and decision making so the more flexible and adaptable you are the better your odds of success.

Put parachute regiment on one of the infantry units for Crete, give him 3 stacks if possible and parachute him into the northwest airport in turn 2 or so. Sometimes it'll prevent student and his gang from dropping and will have to take the sea route, giving you time to react and a much easier way to kill them. If student kills your paratrooper and occupied the airport, then probably just restart.

If student kills your paratrooper and occupied the airport, then probably just restart. I just finished both. For Operation Mercury the Southern central city is a huge priority so you can replenish Messe and Bock, then you will have enough firepower to take Heraklion. For Battle Of Crete, I bought Tito, as there isn't really any difference between middle tier infantry generals, and Tito has some hittin' skills. I just finished Operation Winter Storm for Allies, but i'm having trouble with Winter War.
