A guide for all WWII campaigns

In this one, you are the British in Africa. You have to protect Montgomery, the British AI's city, capture Tripoli, and capture a German city which has a commando Kesselring.

First, you must put your EC in the Heavy Tank, and another one in an Armoured Car. Your first troops should sweep away the Italians easily. Graziani will be a bit of a problem, but your main goal is to capture the level 2 factory in Libya before the AI does so.

After that start spamming field arty until you capture Tripoli, then send your AC EC to Tripoli, and start strafing Kesselring. Your firepower should get Kesselring to fall in about 3 rounds, and that African city is yours.

Now you have Tunisia. Your objectives are to capture Messina, and Rome. Easy.

swamp Sicily with troops, and take Messina before the AI can. Then put an EC in there and start bombing Rome. Montgomery is going to charge suicidally at Graziani, so capture Naples, and then it's just ALLIES 3 all over again. Keep firing at Rome until it inevitably cracks.

You are now in Ukraine and Belorussia with German troops (Manstein, Bock, Kluge) to your south, and more German troops (Greim, Model) to your north. You must defend Kiev and capture Minsk.

Everyone thinks this mission is hard. Minsk's defense is too rugged to capture it in the first 5 rounds, so you must play defensive against Manstein's forces. You must focus on the south first. The North will agitate you a little bit with Model, but the main attacking force is south. always keep a unit on the oilfield in the east, especially a strong unit in the early game since Kluge will rush suicidally at either that oilfield or Kiev.
I find that if you attack him first, he'll rush Kiev, but even then you must keep a unit on that oilfield because Greim is paratrooper happy in
this one, and that is your only source of oil.

After Manstein's attack crumbles, then the Soviets in the north will attack, and NOW you can attack. This is all about defense, not attack.

You are now obviously invading France. You have to capture Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, and Amsterdam.

I split my force up on this one, heading the weaker one for Brittany and the stronger for the city in the south that gives you panzer leader. Once you capture Brittany, start spamming field arty to capture Paris. After your troops capture the southern city, go northeast to try to intercept Rommel long enough for you to have a firm grip on Paris. If the AI captures Paris before you, don't worry. Have your delaying vanguard retreat and let Rommel have full reign. When Paris is empty, take it and defeat the already weakened Rommel.

After this, it is just a matter of capturing Strasbourg and Lyon, which is extremely easy with the morale boost you get after capturing Paris. Don't forget to also paratroop into Amsterdam. Eisenhower will have bombed the crap out of it, so it should be empty, if not captured by a British paratrooper.

At this point, you should have enough money to buy a general. I will buy Weichs, who is a Badoglio lite, but I suggest that you get Badoglio when you have the money. I have achieved the Allied campaigns with just Weichs, so it should be easier if you have Badoglio.

You are now China, against the Japanese. You must capture Bangkok, Kolkata, defend your original city, and defend Mumbai.

First focus on Itagaki, then attack Bangkok. After you have Bangkok, start strafing troops around Yangon. After this, Yangon will be easy taking and you must spam field artillery to bombard Kolkata.

Several scenarios can go one way or another, though. If the Japanese capture Mumbai when you have Yangon, don't fret instead once you capture Kolkata send paratroopers down to take the already weakened Mumbai. If Mountbatten wasn't able to beat Nagumo, then things a get a bit tricky. Build 3 subs if the British are able to hold strongly against the Japanese to finish Nagumo. Two will be dead by the time reach Nagumo. After this, congratulations! You have just made it through the hardest part of the Allied Campaign!

You are once again China, in southern Manchuria. You must capture Changchun and another airport in the north (probably Okhtosk).

Use Weichs to target Koiso or Hata (idunno, they look so much the same, and they both are unvarying peformance-wise). After you capture capture Changchun, build a Commando unit in each round, and use it as a bastion against the advancing Japanese forces.

It is impossible to break through all at once. The fortresses alone will prove to be annoying. Imagine it with Itagaki and Terauchi still alive! You will have to make your slow and steady way to Okhtosk. When you capture Harbin, start strafing Okhtosk and immediately rush it with your arty general. then use Harbin's airport to paratroops onto Okhtosk

You are now the Soviets in Budapest and Cluj Napoca, and you have to capture Prague and Berlin while defending Riga and Paris.

You will be facing the best of the Berlin Military Academy, and I'm not kidding. Kesselring, Model, Student, Goering, Rommel, Guderian, and Heinrici all defending the same place? Impossible! Not so, actually. Position your arty general south of Prague, (you must mind Heinrici) When Kesselring is low on health, Model will immediately rush to Kesselring's rescue. Worry not, that's just two generals in the exactly wrong spot. Your firepower will kill them off.

After that, just push your way up to Berlin, and give Goering a reckoning. I suggest putting an air force general in Prague to give Goering hell. Once you capture Berlin, either Riga, or Paris will be captured, and then it's just missiling it an paratrooping back into either city.

Not a hard mission, actually. You are off the coast of Hokkaido, and you have to take a port at Vladivostok, a city on the neck of Japan, Tokyo, and Osaka.

Land at Sapporo, and advance southwards to the city on the neck of Japan. Start moving your navy to the port at Vladivostok. The Soviets are aggressive, but sometimes they fail to kill Okamura, and he is able to capture the port at exactly the wrong time. Meanwhile on the neck, defeat Itagaki, and if Kuribayashi comes runnin' up, then recapture the city.

After this, it is simply attacking Tokyo and bombing Osaka. Congratualtions! You have just finished the Allied Campaign! You get Himeji Castle, which will help you with AS.

Now you are Germany, and you must capture London, defeat DeGaulle, and capture a level two navy field near Southampton.

your units must launch an all-out attack against the last French forces. Your zero-range units can charge suicidally if it is a quicker job, since most of the power going into London will be planes and artillery. Send that assualt infantry unit you have into the English Channel to block DeGaulle's escape, and wipe them out. as for your navy, you and Raeder will have enough to chokeslam the entire Royal Navy. On the very first round, put a light infantry EC or air general, whatever you have, and start bombing London. Put all your money into bombing London. Send your field arty up to a safe spot to constantly bombard the city. You and Goering will finish the job in about 11 rounds. Wavell has camoflauge, but he is still more dangerous to any non-ranged units, especially on London.

You are now Italy. Your objectives are to defend Rome, capture Belgrade, defend Sofia, and capture Athens. now you will be building Field Arty and only Field Arty. spam it across the Adriatic. I find it easier to take Athens before Belgrade. Tito's rugged defense will stay there if you don't one-up him from the south. Besides that, this is a very easy game to play.

Now you are the Germans in the Sahara region, and you have to capture Tripoli, capture Cairo, capture a level 2 navy yard at Alexandria, and defeat an aircraft carrier. It can actually be a bit hard to 3* this, but there is a way to skip Tripoli and rush Alexandria. After that, Monty will eventually succumb to Field Arty spam. The Italians are bound to take Tripoli anyway, and they only get in the way at Cairo.

The map is self-explanatory. You must capture Leningrad, Minsk, Kiev, Smolensk, and Moscow.


I usually split up my forces. The heavy tank and stronger units go up to Leningrad, while the weaker goes to Kiev. Take Leningrad before Leeb, and start spamming Heavy Tanks. Also make two Rocket Arty units to defeat Zhukov without any crazy backlash.

Meanwhile, in Kiev, wait until Rundstedt weakens the city, and smash into it. If you have surviving units, then I suggest you go to Stalingrad and pick up that Mountain Fighting skill.

Meanwhile, your heavy tanks after defeating Timoshenko and Vasilevsky should hook south east of Moscow, where it is very loosely defended. Send a few troops to hold Minsk. You have now successfully encircled Zhukov and Koniev at Smolensk, and then it is just a smash into the city itself.

Now you are Japan. You must defeat two Battleships.

This one is boring. Capture the Oil Rig west of Midway. Spam subs from Tokyo. One Battleship will follow Nimitz who moves at around round 10, while the other will stay in Honolulu. Defeat the one in Honolulu, and at round 12, start sending the subs over to East Of Midway, where the second Battleship will be.

You must defend Bangkok and Singapore, and capture New Dehli and Hyderabad.

Weichs is perfect for this mission. Capture Yangon and spam Field Artillery and Heavy Tanks to capture Kolkata. After this loop Weichs up to New Dehli, and keep him away from Thimayya. His firepower should be enough to break into New Dehli.

Here is why Weichs is perfect for this mission. Have him strafe Hyderabad from New Dehli, and use Weichs' two air force stars to your advantage.


SCENARIOS
There is a scenario where Wavell and Wingate cross the Bay Of Bengal to capture Singapore. You can prevent this by setting up coastal arty and other fortresses on Malaya. You must also try your best to take the oil rig in the Bay Of Bengal, so you will not run out of oil later in the game.

You now face the East Indies. You must defend Singapore, defend Hong Kong, capture Manila, capture Port Moresby, capture Jakarta, capture Darwin, and capture Derby.

Leave behind a few troops so that the Chinese forces in the east don't become a pain. Your carrier will target Manila. Don't sweat it otherwise. move your battleship to the Oil Rig in The South China Sea. You'll need it.

Move the bulk of your landing forces to Borneo. Once you capture the city, start churning Heavy Tanks out of it. Here is how you will capture the cities


Port Moresby will be overwhelmed by Heavy Tanks.

Darwin will also be overwhelmed by Heavy Tanks.


Bomb out Derby.


The Japanese will bring Jakarta's health down to nothing, so paratroop into it after finishing the capture of every other city.

This one is easy, just boring...especially for the last Axis Mission, and the only WW2 mission where nukes are available to you.

You must capture Ottawa, New York, Washington, Edmonton, and Frisco. 
Capture Ottawa and Montreal first. After this you must split your force into two: One will advance through Ontario to an airport (probably Saskatoon or Regina)
The other will head to New York and defend Ottawa from the attacking Devers and MacArthur. 
Bomb the nuke building city, which would be directly south of the airport you captured while sending your forces north to Edmonton. 
In the East, capture New York and wait. I find it damn near impossible to capture Washington before round 10, when Patton spawns. 
Build 2 nukes for PAtton, and nuke him twice. Clean up what is left of him, and Washington is yours. At this point I was experiencing oil shortages, so move the troops in the west only. They should head for San Francisco. Bradley will be weakened by the Japanese, so it will be an easy fight. 

After this, congratulations! You have just finished the Axis campaign! You get the Statue Of Liberty which is useless.

You are now China. You have to capture Seoul, defend Pyongyang, defeat a Battleship, and defeat MacArthur.

Put Weichs on the Field Artillery and Crerar on the Super Tank Send all of your troops over to the Korean peninsula. Pyongyang will fall quite quickly, so be sure to steal it. Plain fighting works in cities, so that would be a good position for Crerar to defend.

You should have enough troops to hold Korea, so devote your money to building two subs in Shanghai. Send your navy to the Oil Rig, as you will run out fast, and send your subs to defeat the American battleship in the south. MacArthur will come sooner or later, so use your navy to bombard him before he lands. He will be no match to the massive amount of troops you already have on Korea

You are now the Soviet Union in India (weird, right?) You have to capture Dubai, defend Mumbai, defeat a carrier, and defeat Fletcher.

Use the premade nuke on Kreuger in Dubai, and missile the unappointed carrier until you run out of supplies. Thus thoroughly weakening it. Kreuger will cross over, so get him while he's in the sea. In some instances a Super Tank spawns in Dubai. This will be a headache, but you will eventually capture it. put Crerar in a Heavy Tank in Surat, and send him down to Mumbai. The French will try to make a landing there, so be watchful. Build a nuke in Dubai. send your troops down to the city in southern Oman. Defending it will be a headache, so capture it on the round your nuke has been built. Then nuke Fletcher, keep control of Mumbai, and you win.

By far the hardest WTO mission. You must defend Cairo, capture Tehran, and capture Riyadh

put Crerar on the Super Tank and send him to Tehran. Put Weichs on the Field Artillery and send him to Egypt. use the rest of your money to paratroop onto as many oilfields as possible. Send one to Transcaucasia, one to South Saudi Arabia, and one to the oilfield near Riyadh. Muhammad will kill the paratrooper, but he won't recapture the oilfield. Assault into Medina, and before you bombard Riyadh, defeat Muhammad. Once he is finished, then attack Riyadh. Iran should fall under Crerar and the Soviets. Don't let Weichs leave Egypt until you know that Auchinleck is no threat. Then send him to speed up the attack on Riyadh. If all of these fronts are successful, then congrats, you have just won the hardest WTO mission. Get ready for the second hardest, Red Storm I!

You are now Poland. You have to defend Warsaw, defend Prague, capture Vienna, capture Berlin, capture Amsterdam, and capture Bruxelles.

The Soviets will be dam near useless. Capturing Berlin will be easy. Nuke Montgomery first. Then just sit there and defend Berlin. If you don't like the idea of doing nothing, leave Crerar on a plain near Berlin, and send Weichs to bombard Amsterdam. Build nukes for Amsterdam and Bruxelles, and finally, Vienna. Resource wonders would be great for this mission, as your economy is trash, and nukes are expensive. This is my least favorite Warsaw Pact Mission, solely because it's hard, and it's just building nukes.

This one is pretty hard for a first mission. You are in the Western United States. You must defeat a carrier Kuznetskov, capture Calgary, defend Edmonton, capture a north Canadian city, capture the port of Vancouver, and capture Unalaska.

Put Crerar on your Super Tank, and send him to Calgary. Weichs goes on a Field Artillery and goes the same direction. Capture Calgary. Don't get terribly excited about it being a lvl 4 factory as you are just getting started. Put weak infantry units on it for Novikov will missile it quite a bit, and advance up north.

Timoshenko will be considerably weakened, so defeat him and capture Edmonton. You will tussle over Edmonton with Koniev a bit, but you must prevail. Meanwhile, your allies will advance up to capture Vancouver, its port, and defeat Vasilevsky. Start bombarding the Nothern city.

Once you capture it, build an armored car, and start missiling Unalaska. send your troops through Alaska, paving a way for that Armored Car. Novikov will be considerably weakened, and after that just pop it into Unalaska.

This one is my favorite. You must defend Alexandria, defend Athens, defend Ankara, defend Rome, capture Jerusalem, capture Sofia, and capture Stalingrad.

Put Crerar on the Heavy Tank in the Med, and send it to Greece with the other troops in the West. capture the south Yugoslav city and Sofia. You don't really need Belgrade, and the Yugoslavs will be occupied with Italy, which will get constantly nuked, but will not fall.

Meanwhile, send Weichs with the rest of your troops through Israel into Turkey. Build three nukes in Alexandria. One for Rokossovsky and two for Stalingrad. Nuke Rokossovsky, and recapture Ankara. The Turkish troops will be confused once Ankara is in enemy hands, so don't expect them to help too much.

At this point, you are just defending Sofia and Ankara long enough for those two nukes to be made. wait until 460 gold and 200 steel before you give Stalingrad both of those nukes. Send two paratroopers near there. One will be dead the next round. Then nuke Stalingrad, and move em' in there.

You must capture Cairo, capture Alexandria, and capture Damascus. The easy version of Sea Road

build a Field Artillery and put Weichs on it. Start shootin' at Chuikov with Weichs. Send Crerar in a Super Tank up north to help against Egypt.

Really, the AI can take Africa, it's just defending it against Romanian and Bulgarian reinforcements is the problem. Defeat Chuikov, make a nuke, and capture the oilfield to the west. Zhukov will say that he's been flanked somehow? Idunno, the important thing is that you get a morale boost.

Send a weak unit into Cairo, because Novikov will immediately nuke it. Capture Alexandria, and defend against Romania and Bulgaria. nuke Damascus, and send two paratroopers up there.

What??? This isn't the hardest mission in the NATO campaign? Well i'll be damned. You must capture Cairo, the port of Alexandria, Damascus, Baghdad, and defend Riyadh.

No Crerar. He'll just get nuked on a Super Tank. Put him on a heavy and send him to Egypt. Send Weichs to Saudi Arabia. Bagramyan will either have captured Riyadh, or Riyadh will be empty. Build a nuke as soon as you can.

As for the sea, defeat the Soviet navy there, protect your oil rig and port, and sail up the Red Sea. Defeat the Soviet Navy there, take the Saudi port at Jazan, and build a sub in it. Once you reach the port at Alexandria, you MUST defeat the battleship and capture the port. Meanwhile, the AI will usually just stop short of Cairo, so capture it.

Send your troops to the southern Iraqi city. If you have 3 nukes, use em' paratroop into Baghdad and Damascus.
