He is useful in History and since you have Straßenburg, you don't need another OP Infantry general. Why not? The more the merrier. Because it is not needed and you cannot farm Medals in this game. |

But you must change battle array no matter what. So at least 15 textbooks to make lee good (battle array+ tunnel). I would advise to max out moltke or at least upgrade his rank+ good skills (strike+ surprise). My reasoning for this is yes, he only has 4 skills, but he is needed in history mode, and his history missions are arguably one of the more easier ones (Austro-prussian war arguably being the easiest). Also, I would always place him on that breastplate or hunting cav you get in conquests or those special light cavalry units, as they have high mobility. Focus on buying and maxing out lee when you are up to the french campaign (9) or at least the bulgaria campaign (number 8). Tunnel does not need to be replaced, as it is a very good skill. |

I didn't see him. Anyway, Lee is expensive, yes, but if you spend 5 textbooks on Turning Battle Array into Tactics Master, he will be a minor deity. hmm, not convinced yet. In Paulus's all generals ranked thread, he says borevic is wat beter than Robert. Why is that than? I disagree with him. Boreovic is good, yes, but he doesn't get the pure output Bobby does. Paulus values a Mountain-Jungle combo much more than I do (sorry Garibaldi), so he really likes Boreovic. All of Lee's skills but Battle Array are excellent, and his ability is excellent and he is an Emperor. I view Lee as the Stonewall Jackson of infantry. |

He will take a lot of silver badges to upgrade his title, though, so if you are willing to get a very expensive, very good general, get him. |

I think he put Boroevic as a better general than lee is beacause you have to invest at least 15+ textbooks to make lee good, while you only have to change 1 skill for boroevic. But still, when maxed, Lee does a LOT of damage, yes quite comparable with Straussenberg, even though Straussenberg has a double assault boost (Assault+ Inf commander). He is the best solo infantry damage-machine in the game when maxed in my opinion. |
