Guderian and leeb are enough for eastern front, Esp. with manstein. Id recommend govorov for eastern front (once you get to it) and macarthur and yamashita for for pacific (again, once you ge to it) if you are struggling with allies 1939, tassigny is a good infantry general

Oh in that case get govorov now, Manstein can be allies tank general along with timoshenko, they should be enough to clear eastern. once you get to pacific, you will want an infantry general for both sides. Macarthur for allies and yamashita/rundstedt for axis (I went with yamashita because he is faster which is vital for pacific missions, and does a lot of damage)

Here's my recommended path:
You don't need an allied gen for Eastern '41. Trust me. But if you REALLY want somebody, I suggest Govorov or Rokossovsky.
From there on I'd do this:
1. Macarthur- OP as hell, especially on a Cossack or a Ranger.
2. Yamashita- Great for the Pacific.
3. Rommel- Complete the Panzer Trifecta and be a god!
4. Patton: He's good for med. tanks.

Agreed, Preferably on a Ranger. 2. Rundstedt is better, but he is still good. Guerilla stinks, though. 3. Despite my love for Rommel, he already has fricking Manstein and Guderian. 4. He already has Manstein. Get a HT instead, like Monty. My advice is MacArthur, Govorov, Rundstedt, Doenitz, Monty, Kesselring.

I see what you mean, but Guerilla is better than you give it credit for. Plus, speed. 3. Trust me, all three will come in handy for Pacific 45. Just look at Bruchminati. 4. Forgot that Manstein transfers over. In that case yeah get Monty or Roko.

Yama's speed isn't too important, because he won't be going off by himself unless you like swallowing death from everywhere. With Guerilla, you can't attack a powerful gen without possibly being rekked. It doesn't do anything but make you take minutely less damage. Blitzkrieg on a medium tank is different, one because it can attack multiple times, and two, because it has a lot higher defense, allowing it do take less damage even if it doesn't trigger. Not: Am not endorsing medium Tanks. 3. I only used for my Tankers Rundstedt and Rommel. For infantry I used what some may call weak gens of Ushi and Model. I had the "weak" gen of Badoglio as well. It is still easy even with "trash lineups." I would say that later on, like After Monty he can get Rommel if he wants, but not Prior to that.

Samurai? Another bad skill. My ground troops morale rarely drops at all. High morale can be useful. Especially if your enemy's morale is low.

Samurai? Another bad skill. My ground troops morale rarely drops at all. It drops a ton for me, I don't know why, and it makes him good on Navy, too.
