(Not fun) fact:
The Nuclear Bombing of Nagasaki wasnโt the last time Uranium was used as a weapon in a war. Iโm not talking about nuclear propelled carriers and submarines. Iโm talking when the United State army had the brilliant idea to put depleted uranium on the top of armor-piercing ammunition. It was said that no armor could resist depleted uranium bullets, They used it in Iraq both in 1991 and 2003.
The consequences were an epidemic of malformed babies in Iraq because when Iraqi soldiers came back from the front, soldiers that were in contact with the uranium bullets, they conceived a baby that wasnโt โnormal. Doctors in Iraq said that in the time of birth, women were no more asking wether it was a boy or a girl, they were asking if it was normal.
Just like with agent orange, the U-S denied the fact until it became undeniable, then they started doing the research.

On average, every person in Australia wastes about 108 kgs of food every year I think, this must be food waste of private households, without supply chain. I read this and thought: - hey, his is a calculation without Italians, but I was wrong: Food is a cultural cornerstone in Italy yet the most recent government survey of 400 families showed each one wastes the equivalent of 85 kg of food, worth a combined 8.5 billion euros ($10.49 billion), a year. Earlier figures have put food waste as high as 145 kg per family, at a cost of 16 billion euros.
In 2016, Italy passed a law to limit food waste, making it easier to donate unsold food.
It is still early to crunch numbers but the signs are good, said Roberto Moncalvo, president of the Italian agricultural association Coldiretti. There was even another decline during corvi. |

Black holes attract matter, and even energy, toward each other, but not to a greater extent than other stars or cosmic objects of similar mass. This means that a black hole with the same mass as that of our sun would not "draw" more objects towards it than our sun with its own gravitational force.
