Well, I am trying again at EW4. I always get stuck at Return To The Rhine, but whatever. Here are some observations Architect can be broken beautifully. If I had a choice of what general I would get, it would be Kosciusko. Conquests are hard as hell, because you have to defeat the spam as well as capture the cities. Murat will kill Switzerland. It seems that the AI is non-discriminatory of who they attack. They just stay to defeat what is in their way. You can declare war on neutral countries in some campaigns. Bauchmann took four hits and still did not declare war in Toulon, but he became green after only two hits in Italy War. You can defeat countries. I defeated Switzerland with a 1/6 health Napoleon with nothing to do but take pots at Cav generals. I eventually rushed Mantua, and killed it. Napoleon was surrounded, and I just wasn't able to kill the objective cav general. Lannes is on Heavy Artillery in 1809. Hessian is fun in 1812. HRE is not fun.

Let's break it individually, shall we? 1. Architect can be broken beautifully. If I had a choice of what general I would get, it would be Kosciusko. That is true, but it goes waste, once you progress in your conquest, but extremly useful for campaigns2. Conquests are hard as hell, because you have to defeat the spam as well as capture the cities. To defeat spam, you have to capture cities quickly. In 1798, the spam is at Warsaw, 1806, 1809, it is at budapest-vienna3. Murat will kill Switzerland. It seems that the AI is non-discriminatory of who they attack. They just stay to defeat what is in their way. True 4. You can declare war on neutral countries in some campaigns. Bauchmann took four hits and still did not declare war in Toulon, but he became green after only two hits in Italy War. It depends on which country you are and what actions you take (stealing facilities or taking potshots) I had to capture 5 facilities as Russia, against Prussia in 18-6 just to turn them neutral5. You can defeat countries. I defeated Switzerland with a 1/6 health Napoleon with nothing to do but take pots at Cav generals. I eventually rushed Mantua, and killed it. Napoleon was surrounded, and I just wasn't able to kill the objective cav general. Is this siege of Mantua mission? If yes, then put Napoleon in range of the fort. Flank and if possible, surround the fort. Use your remaining units to battle the other units. Protect your cavalry general as he is vulnerable. Once Mantua is broken, rush your forces to defeat the enemy cavalry general. It must not be that hardLannes is on Heavy Artillery in 1809. Hessian is fun in 1812. HRE is not fun. Agreed

What is exactly your problem in Return to Rhine STILETT0 ? I played it and wrote my howto. In the missions: read the tactical map and concentrate only on the objectives. The extra mission we unlock after winning once in time.

Conquests are not hard at all lmao. It is literally possible to conquest as any country in EW4, just have the motivation to fight through all the spam.
I did Poland 1809 and managed to hold on to all my cities and yet still manage to take over russia, and austrians and the prussians.

Play it without any generals and that is a real test of your skills. A tip - Exile to France as Poland in 1798 is futile

I remember I did Poland 1798 before, with generals.
Guess it's time to suicide all my generals to the HRE and Prussia.

It gives you default generals. That was what I meant. I did it with the in game generals but that's not satisfying! I want to have DeSaix and Marmont at my beck and call!
