My favourite "Human Resources Acquisition Playground" is Siege of Mantua. You can pretty easily lure the two austrian generals north and south of switzerland into french territory. I use Napoleon to hurt the southern (Lusignan, I believe) und pull the other two french generals through switzerland to the north to take off some health of the austrian artillery general there. If the health of the two generals and maybe 4 other austrian units around is depleted (should be around 10 Hp each, this needs some tinkering), make a save game.
If you do it right, you have the light cavallery in the north to kill 3 units (incl. General) in one turn, use the artillery there for the leftover and in the south use the heavy cavallery from the southwest to kill Lusignan and another one.
You can do the save without own generals, so you can put in your Adept-Generals for levelling later and make a seperate s/l General specific additional save game.
This gives approx. 9% refresh every round of 6 kills and is also nice for levelling your personell.
