For allied powers, take the city. For Russians, hold back the allies or at least prevent them from taking the city. For how long? Maybe some 40 pages?

I dispatch 20,000 men, and some of my artilery, supported by 2,000 cavalry to intercept the Russian army and support La Marmora's forces.
They are not expecting the attack, so what they think will be an easy battle turns into hell on earth for them, as they are caught in a line of fire out in the open, all while being bombarded by artilery pieces.
Together, we are able to force the Russians to retreat, while they sustain 2,000 casualties.

As long as it takes. I guess. That's not fair. You must give us the "Clear" winning/defending criterion.

I'll assume that the allied fleet is still in Crimea, however, you can still blockade supplies off to Sevastopol itself.

The battle is at Sevastopol 1855. The Russian forces are in defensive positions within Sevastopol, supported by the Russian navy. The allied forces are trying to take Sevastopol. Although the allied forces have numerical superiorty, the russians have the navy, and are entrenched. ALLIED FORCESUK - Lord Raglan (35,000 men) France - Charles Huntziger (75,000 men) Ottomans - Hsueh Yueh (60,000 men) Piedmont-Sardinians - Alfonso Ferrero La Marmora (15,000 men) ------------------------------------------------------------ RUSSIAN FORCESTsar Alexander - John Marston (leader of russian force) Russian 1st Infantry - ProConqueror (43,000 men) Russian 2nd Infantry - @vonmanstein77 (43,000 men ) Russian Naval Force - Vladimir Kornilov (9,000 men) ----------------------------------------------------------- No tanks or armored cars. Each force has one brigade of cavalry. (5,000) Allied forces have 20 guns each. (guns are those old-style cannons) Russians don't have guns, but have the navy to compensate. If you want a role, post what role you want. Oi you forgot the Russian cavalry
