Been a thing since around the same time as the Mexican-American war Greenland is because the US had bases there back in WW2, and those parts of Mexico were there because they were actually supposed to be given to the US after the Mexican-American war but the US decided not to press forward. The carribean is very straightfoward, the US basically put bases literally everywhere and occupied Cuba after the Spanish-American war. |

And Greater America for example. Forgot Canada in there That part of Canada is culturally and historically very close to New England, especially since many Loyalists (americans who were loyal to the UK during the revolution) fled there. |
