In 1911, the Chinese Dynastic System which had lasted since the Xia Dynasty collapsed. Replacing it was the Republic of China, led by Sun Yat Sen. During the Great War, Germany took over Macau and Hong Kong, as well as dissolving the Republic. The Germans then put the old Qing Emperor on the throne yet again. Recently, our country has been facing many Republican riots throughout the cities of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Mukden. Added to that, there has been a recent revival in Tibetan and Xinjiangi freedom, backed by the Indians and the Turks respectively. We could attempt to suppress the Republicans and retain our imperial control, but doing so would put us at risk of Civil War and possible independence of Xinjiang and Tibet.
-Qing Dynasty has a decision:
-Give into the Liberals-Qing Dynasty switches to Republic of China and Republican rebels will not appear. Makes China more aligned to the Entente
-Suppress the Damn Liberals!-Qing Dynasty keeps its name, but Republican Rebels can appear. Makes China more aligned to the Central Powers.
Neutrals: Ireland has declared it will join the Entente. Next year they will become a member.
I feel like there was another one. Might have been the PSA but they don't exist yet.
