STILETT0 , Warlord247 , Arya Stark , Don Quixote de la Mancha , Luigi Sansonetti , zink , John Marston , Saltin , Gerd von Rundstedt I have returned! My English teacher would not take revisions for all work, so a lot of the stuff I worked my *autocorrected* off for won't even be accounted. Now it is up to fate whether I pass this year, though I have a terrible feeling about this. If I do not make 2.0 GPA, then I will not make retention for my school, (it's a magnet and anyone with under 2.0 GPA will get kicked out), and I really love that school too. The teachers care about the students, the people there are friendly, and I have made friends, (even though they have drifted way too far apart for me to truly know them like I used to, you guys are my main source of friends and socializing). I just don't want to leave this school. I screwed up badly, and I guess I have to pay the consequences. Trying to stay away from you guys only made me realize that I could never leave here, and I must thank you guys for that. Whether I pass or fail, I'm sticking with you guys. If it makes you feel better, you aren't the only one failing. I'm currently right on the cusp with my geometry. And yeah, this community is great. Just know that we won't go away, and that real life does come first.

STILETT0 , Taking breaks from stuff you normally do (like these forums) is perfectly normal. Our priorities change and we change as people over time. I've gone through periods of high activity on this forum followed long stretches of time (like the past year-ish) where I just dropped off, and then came back and returned. It's a matter of priorities and interests. Prioritize what you are interested in (for me I was more interested in other things, such as Game of Thrones as well as some other shows I started watching, as well as dealing with school) and make sure your real life situation is going as well as it can (because as Warlord247 says, real life does come first). As Saltin said earlier, the forum isn't going anywhere. And yeah, you will have to pay the consequences for screwing up. But at least this will be a good lesson for the future. Better to learn it now than when you're an adult and you have things like bills and insurance to pay. Having said all that, I still wish you luck for the future and hope you manage to get things right in due time.

If there is anything you can still do to improve your grades you should do it, school is more important than the internet.

Knowing about your situation makes me worry about my situation. I still have a ton of unfinished work to do because I had to first finish a ton of school work from my one-month guide hiatus. I don't know if it still is my mental health (being a Filipino in the Philippines is hell tbh) or my laziness which keeps me back from finishing it all. Anyways, I will still not have all the time unlike in April to continue posting guides, but I will definitely post at least one guide a week. I have some time left, and I have to salvage what I can. I have to make my time management better. Honestly, I am yet to form habits to prevent such things from going out of place. STILETT0 , the only hope I hope is that you make yourself mentally prepared for what will happen, and that you manage to resolve the reason why you screwed up your grades.

I turned in all the summative assignments I possibly can. Half of them are now unaccounted for, as my English teacher "doesn't grade things twice." Also, how is being Filipino in Philippines hell?

I do not refer to me being Filipino, but I refer to as being a resident of a country where the leaders are very corrupt. Students here should have been attending schools safely if the government had been serious against the pandemic, and people would have feel safer. I won't discuss about current politics of my country further, but I would describe it as abysmal.

I know that your country, especially Manila, have a very high poverty rate, with people living in cemeteries because there isn't enough housing, and I can only imagine what is happening there now during the largest pandemic since 1918, but I doubt that it is not much worse than it initially was. Everyone except South Korea, China, and New Zealand handled the pandemic terribly. We can only hope that even though we had a rough start we will get a good finish. Stay safe.

Sometimes you just have to put yourself in the situation where you have to choose between school and video games, and school is always the right choice. Once you get used to working hard, it will become easy and you’ll even do it naturally with minimum effort. Good luck on your studies
