Why mods should not run on a tablet? I never encounterd one problematic mod. Maybe the tablet is missing a few sensors (approximation, fingerprint) but a tablet is a mobile - just bigger - and so much cheaper. I strongly recommend a physical keyboard for modding - especially when you mod on a phone. $10 investment, but such a great difference!! And some actions work only with a keyboard (undo/redo as i'm posting as example. If anyone has a smart TV that can use Bluetooth then, maybe you can mod via Bluetooth. It should work because, you can plug your computer into your TV. This would make modding extremely powerful and clear. I believe the only question is, if you have access to the package-installer. Some devices don't allow to install apps freely - For sure I can't test it - I have none - Living without TV is a great advance of life quality - I strongly recommend not to become addicted to propaganda - better no TV!

Imagine all the propaganda and ads you get from computers, phones, and tablets. All are great ways to be influenced. That is true, apple tablets don't allow the user to install anything.

On computers like phones and tablets I can (still) decide what I want to see. I don't get ads - even no banner - except the five ads (3 different ads) that I open with EW4. I have seen devices where even the wheather report comes with advertising - horrible. And today there even TV-stations that interrupt a movie for advertising - are they crazy? This is a knockout-creteria - no TV! Have a look at F-droid.org, and get rid of the propaganda-spam. Apple is signig every app, to work only for one special device. For this reason you have to install via the shop. You can't copy or deliver an app for more than one device because every single I-phone app is unique.

Since everyone has a different point of view of the tv, we will move on from this discussion. I apologise for not being on lately. It is not really the phone app but, the operating system. You can change the system of a app however, you can't change the system of a device without jailbreaking.

Jailbreaking is it called, to escape the Jail the Apple system with IOS has made for every myPhone. For android, because it directly came from unix, it is called rooting (to get root-user access - the default password for root was 'install') You should use the ADB to access your phone - without rooting. You need the cable and a PC with android studio, or with bugjaeger you can even just use a second android device. With the Android Debug Bride, you even can uninstall all this blooatware that normaly comes with the new phone, or a factory reset.

It disables the bootloader so, you can root the device. The best rooting app is kingo root for Android. I don't recommend rooting because, some countries disband your warranty.

I don't reccomend rooting your device - it is a brutal workaround. I believe there is no one, that gives warranty to a rooted device. Rooting is not necessary! The funtion to unlock the bootloader is for the ADB. Even most rooting solutions require the ADB. With the Debug Bride, you get temporary root access, without destroying your system protection. And you don't loose warranty.

Rooting your phone allows you to make Swap files. Swap Files turn storage into ram. There is also SD card "splitting" but, I have not fully understood it yet.
