This mod has a number of glitches...
I had an ally in a port next to an enemy city and since this mod auto-awards nearby ports when you capture a nearby city, I guess the game got confused. The port remained owned by the ally when that ship left port but when I clicked on the port the "purchase-anchor" appeared at the bottom of the screen...so out of curiosity I purchased a cruiser... the cruiser appeared in port under the ally's colors. I bought him a ship!!
The game then got even more confused and locked up, but by exiting the scenario and returning to it I could regain control.
The port near city name 1122 in the very first Axis-EU scenario seems to be the only one affected.
To further test the glitch I waited until my turn was about done and checked the position of the cruiser... the AI had moved it on its turn! So I started buying the ally a ship every turn. The AI uses them too.

My apologies, I had not meant it as a MEAN post. I forget that not everyone gets my sense of humor. Largely I love the unexpected challenges of this mod.. I meant the post as a sort of "Just my luck."- kind of joke. Not as a criticism. Also I found the port 1122 bug to be helpful!! I reported it just as an oddity.
Please accept my apology if I offended anyone.

I think I know why the game kept spitting out Nassers... isn't he the ONLY general Egypt has assigned to it?

tristanknight, you are right. If I cannot control my allies then at least let me 'lend-lease' units to them like America did for Britain. It is far better'n just giving the A.I.$$. What the game shd have is something like 'an ally requests assistance' memo wherein requests for particular units are listed. If you agree, you foot the bill for the units.
