For artillery EC built in mid game as suggested in the guide, do we bother further upgrading them afterward(e.g. 4th movement stars or level 4 plain fighting or other skills)? if so, when? or do I just leave them be until I have finished the rest of the guide(end game)?

Do it when you are at end game stage.

I need to consult with some better players. The game is evolving too quickly that I'm falling behind. Here's my two cents as a starting point, hopefully this will start some conversation on the topic. Well, one thing's for sure: Kretschmer (heckin' turn into a hybrid of a wc4 submarine and a tank) + Hartmann (air defense no more) is a pretty good general bundle :) Mikawa's also probably one of the best f2p naval generals you can get for value. He's got raid at sea (+15 damage per attack and 20 hp after the first attack), wolfpack 3, explosives 3, fleet 2, and supply 2. He also has 5 navy and 4 mobility stars! But since you said in your guide that players will only need one naval general he might still be unnecessary Katukov's your typical 5-star tank general. A fairly solid set of skills but probably not something you'd want to pay actual money for especially cause his damage could be better (no plains, explosives, street, etc.. Only desperate 3) Eichelburger's pretty solid as well (double attack + morale boost that actually does something), plus 4 artillery and mobility stars. He can definitely compete with the best but idk if experts will say if he's better than Govorov or a high-cost artillery EC. Edit: Looking at some other generals that I'll add below: Wittmann is very... gimmicky. He's got an anti-rumor and an below-half-hp healing skill, but he's got the same problems as Katukov. At least he's got explosives 3 though, so that's something.

Whats the build for artillery and tank EC nowadays after the recent update? For artillery I'd guess you would want plains, artillery barrage, explosives, inspiring, and ace commander (and maybe consider street, supply, and desperate as well, although these are worse options than the 5 I listed). For tanks then use tide of iron instead of barrage? You'd probably still want 3 stars of damage and 3 stars of mobility, but you CAN go with less mobility if you're planning on using a mobility medallion.

Inspiring will trigger a lot for tank EC but what about artillery EC? and what medallions do you recommend? am thinking of more HP/defence plus tank/artillery medal combo. So more damage and more hp plus regen or lots of damage reduction from enemy while hitting back harder. Ace commander gives extra mobility if the EC is marshal fyi.

I put inspiring 2 on my artillery EC. I haven't noticed a huge change yet but maybe higher levels will do better. For tanks I recommend lifesteal (or expropriation as the game calls it), which you get with a damage % + hp medallion. Tank cluster (combo + something I forgot) is also pretty good. For artillery I'd say anything that really boosts damage is gonna be good, although I actually don't have bonus skills on any of my artillery generals because I'm currently using mobility + artillery damage medallions on them.

How good will Desperate be instead of inspiring? +24 damage max level compared to 16. Life steal will probably be good as generals need to survive against waves of enemy units in challenge conquest as you are also removing the healing perk in exchange for inspiring or possibly Desperate.

Desperate > Inspiring for field artillery. Inspiring > Desperate for tank.

Erich von Manstein, and players, you state in your guide to drop tide of iron for inspiring. Why not drop blitzkrieg as it doesn't trigger all that much, and instead just have all the dmg. Or is it an alien endgame requirement to have blitzkrieg?

Or is it an alien endgame requirement to have blitzkrieg? Because by equipping the legion medal and combo medal, tank ECs can heal and survive better than in the past, not to mention speedrun conquest is more common now, so if your tank ECs have trouble to survive even 30 rounds, having tide of iron probably wouldn’t make too much difference in compared to blitzkrieg. As for alien endgame, artillery and air force generals do that better than tank generals in most case.
