Why spy? That seems strange? In addition, what do you think of a fen with 5 stars in Forts and Training, Fireproof, Defense Master, War Master, and Leadership? What would be a good price for them? Spy allows you to be on heavy cavarly yet still do good damage against forts However, it is rare to not be able to save up enough money for a double guards cav - exact. And you can choose: GC: +50% against forts and ships, or AC: +35% against cav, +30% infantry I can wait even until R15 on a speedrun. The multiplier strengthen also stars and items! I don't leave this - it is important to hit usually around 80-100 to get multiple fights in one turn. Your general with 5⭐ Fort, 5⭐ Training, Fireproof, Defense Master, War Master, and Leadership, Gerd von Rundstedt? This is in my oppinion a full 8-Star general - not one flaw. Fort-generals are a bit cheaper but not under 1700🎖 I would say - even significant more are reasonable. Really defense missions don't exist in EW4 the goal is always an offensive target. I primarily use fort gens for long sieges, in addition to defense and spam clearing.

Oh no. Geography is only in cobination with spy or engeneering usefull, otherwhise it's a pure starting skill. I think STILETT0 found the only combination to make geography usefull for a HQ cavalary general. Economic Master can be easy replaced with the Napoleonic Code, on top are the cities to conquer solo most times smaller cities. Better than Lan needs more innovation. Why spy? That seems strange? I’d just buy poniatowski

you can save him with lots of wine and medkits. As for skills, I think Spy should replace mobility, and Geography replace sailor. He would be the fastest general in the game if that happened. A perfect Cavalry is Strike, Economic Master, Assault Art, and Geography. This I can actually agree with.

I primarily use fort gens for long sieges, in addition to defense and spam clearing. the entire idea of putting gens on forts is beyond me. They are only good for defending an area, and after that, it cannot move to support the frontline. If you really want a general like Wurmser, or Alexander I, go for it, but for countries in compromising positions where defense is necessary, forts are too expensive to even be used. The only situation I can find where a fort was useful, is maybe the initial stages of defense for an Indian conquest, or maybe Spain 1815 and Poland 1798. Forts are just an unnecessary addition that already wastes one of your four general slots.

This makes a gen on it ideal for, say, France 1798 siege of London, or just fighting spam in general.

Forts under construction are the top targets for enemy AIs with even higher priority than the VPs. Building forts in appropriate locations can serve as a decoy to distract your enemies that can preserve your generals' HP and/or bring the enemy generals to a desired location of yours. However, like infantry, they are very useful as a kind of unit but not quite a good choice to put your generals on.

For me too, a fort general is not needed. It could be very different, if ET added a few missions, where holding a fort is an objective. Perfect Erich von Manstein, very usefull but other units profit so much more from a general.

Strike + Spy + Snair Drum + Geography + Assualt Art + Napoleonic code 4 me. Boost the economy very quickly while also being very fast and able to capture cities with ease

At least Moreau still has Accurate and Explosives, while Suchet will struggle to compete with Savary. One interesting theory I've heard of before: the fewer training stars a Spy general has, the better (s)he is at fort cracking in initial form.

So that they can heal by destroying forts? Interesting. And idk man. I have used Moreau and he never stops disappointing, either dealing almost no damage or by being killed in seconds.

Because destroying forts make them level up faster? It's a 50% bonus after all. If Moreau deals almost no damage, then I can hardly think of another good damage dealer. He is squishy I agree with that.

You dont't need 1-4 training stars: Guards Cavalary comes with Spy-De-Luxe (+50% Forts and +50% Navy) and multiple attacks per round! Attacking with the snair is much more effective than training ! The problems come with ⭐ (5 cheverons) Don't attack forts with artillery generals - search an exclusive point in range of one or two forts, but attack a unit that can't fight back! You keep health easy (probable counts as relax round ?) and gain morale. Just counterattack forts with artillery! You don't raise rank on AI-turn, but dmg-points for cheverons you deal !

Nelson, Sophia, Isabella deal more damage than Moreau while not being as squishy. Scharnhorst has even more survivability.
