The capital is in it. It is the upper one if I remember correctly Btw in Baltics we call Netherlands(in slang) Holland the upper one is groningen its (from top to bottom): groningen, friesland (fryslân), drenthe, overijssel, flevoland, gelderland (gelre), utrecht, north-HOLLAND, south-HOLLAND, zeeland, brabant, limburg Ahh you didn't understood how I thought it, and after looking at the map I was right...

Then check out how many Europeans screw up the states of America. A very light example... I feel so offended sometimes when people assume that I am a yankee when it's a Northeast regional thing (granted... dumb rednecks actually got this one wrong more often). I know all American states and Europe. About 20% of the American capitals and 100% of European capitals Brazil is too easy

I hate it when people mistake Sweden for Switzerland. I beat King of France knows how I feel Then check out how many Europeans screw up the states of America. A very light example... I feel so offended sometimes when people assume that I am a yankee when it's a Northeast regional thing (granted... dumb rednecks actually got this one wrong more often). The American=Yankee thing is dumb, but the European nations are Sovereign and American states aren't, so for Non-Americans to not memorize the American States is different from Americans messing up the European States

The American=Yankee thing is dumb, but the European nations are Sovereign and American states aren't, so for Non-Americans to not memorize the American States is different from Americans messing up the European States I know there are 52 or 54 states and I can call most of them, but I don't need them in my routine. I know Washington is in DC and NY is in NYD etc

I know Washington is in DC and NY is in NYD etc 50 states (then US territories such as Washington DC) actually. And as for the European countries' sovereignty, its status is dubious atm due to how EU is changing over time alongside with the Euro. My original point still remains, it's not completely realistic to expect someone of average knowledge to be absolutely perfectly aware of the names of places on the other side of the world. (not including the folks here which tends to have above-average understanding of borders and names, history, wars, etc... because of the common attraction of Easytech rather than the simplistic FPS games or 3-match games) I think it's safe to say that people who has a particular interest in wargames and the associated history along with them would generally have more awareness of worldwide geography. Myself, I'm pretty capable of naming 90% or better of all of Europe even though I never lived or even visited it in person.
