Note that Proto Germanic is before Latin Therefore, they are indirectly related cousin languages, meaning German is not a latin language and has no relation to it.  Can you show a bit clearer pic? Latin and German are indirectly not related I think(Latin evolves into French and 6 other languages and some French words were influenced into English I.e les décorations
