*@us-residents (proud Israeli citizen here!) Yes, no tax on the price tag. It's stupid and annoying Well thats weird xD Now i know why every us-citizen complains about taxes, they just see it everywhere That, and also because a lot of us think that no taxation is what our country was based on instead of representation. Which is, ofc, not a very good stance, but i digress.

.org/image/qamsnyakx/] [/url] Spreading Liberty from Sea to Shining Sea. Playing as Confederates in Vic2. I have defeated the Union and have secured all of the South, including D.C, Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Missouri. I also took Kansas as it is clear that the residents prefer our own confederacy of states. The Union had to recognize our sovereignty. I also own Cuba, Hispaniola, Liberia and Panama. I got an event to claim everything south of the Mason-Dixon Line, which gave me claims on southern California, Las Vegas, Arizona and New Mexico. I fought a second war and won it. Now the country has spread its grimy hands across the continent. I am allied with Brazil, and am preparing to take Sonora/Baja California from Mexico to expand my Pacific Coast.

Crazy that you already own the Caribbean whenever America hasn't imperialized them yet. And how come the west is owned?

As America, you have a decision which gives you claims on California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona from Mexico, and then you can declare on them to take them. You can also colonize Oregon, Oklahoma, Idaho and Colorado at the very beginning. You also get an event which will give you Washington from the Brits (or you could refuse to do that and instead gain claims on Washington and B.C).

American taxes are 7 cents per dollar, or 7% of the total Depends on the state. In my area the fed, state, and local taxes add up to 10%

Yeah I was talking sales tax. Other taxes are too high for me to think of Like income tax! Ugh! Or property tax, let's be glad I don't own a house yet. Income tax correspond to roughly 34 to 47 percent, highly variable and like Jean-Luc Picard said, it depends on which state. But for income, it also depends on which tax bracket you are in. Generally speaking, the more you earn, the higher the rate is. But the mega-rich hires a lawyer specialized in tax evasion and gets away with maybe 15% income tax rate.
