Ah, the closest beach to me would be the Pensacola beach, but my personal favorite is Clearwater Island Beach (Tampa bay area) and second favorite Naples Beach (Naples, FL).

That's painful to bear if it's also humid. I'm assuming yes because it's the Northwest, nothing but rain, rain, and rain every day.

So jealous of you. All the beaches in North California are rocky and freezing cold Oh forgot to mention that there's a big difference in beaches between the Gulf shore and the Atlantic shore here in Florida. Gulf waters is warm and toasty, the beach itself is hot sand. Atlantic is a lot closer to the description of what you gave about your area (although, it would be less chilly, but still cold or cool).

California truly is a 3rd-world country That's the last thing I expected to hear. Not really, I remember seeing the ironic stupid reddit post that went something like this... "f*** you America, I had enough and I am out of here! I'm gonna move to California!" *I goes facepalm here* Guess it fits that America is a 1st world country and California is a 3rd world country...
