Sorry to bother you John Marston , I have one more question and it might sound stupid, but is there like a system on deciding an outcome of battle like dices, because I have seen people talk about dices in RP, but haven't seen them in the WW2 one. Or is it just that the players can say like "we have taken Warsaw" as long as it's not like "we use super laser guns and eradicate the whole Poland"? 549 - Well, we have tried using the dices in our RPs, but they were an utter failure. People just didn't understand the rules and as of now, there is no dice. Coming to attacking, you can say that "I attack x province". If there is an enemy army, you have to fight him to take the province. If you are not sure whether the enemy's army is there in that particular province, then you can say that "The province x is on the verge of falling unless the enemy intervene". If they don't, it's a walkover. If they do come, you have to fight them. Coming to research, you get the technology of that particular period. For example, you don't get tanks in the RPs before 1914. You can't get nukes before 1945. We state the starting year at the beginning of the RP and then, 1 page = 1 month / 12 pages = 1 year. So, if the RP start date is 1939, you will get nukes on page 72. |
