sugarman , it depends on if you need a gen for campaigns or decisive battles. For decisive battles, you should definitely go for Commius. For campaigns, I would take Huo. Scipio is kinda in between and I would get him as your last cav gen. Also, do not sell Antony. He is arguably the best calvary in conquest, campaign and expedition. Finally, take the laurel crown off Antony (give him the golden spear) and give it to Mithridates. Hi randomperson, thanks for the advice. At the moment Crassus has the spear. Means he takes down walls and garrisons faster. Best city killer, but Pompey does better against troops. I gave Antony the laurel crown to allow him to range further and possibly get flanked, and keep his effectiveness. Allows a turn for the slower gens to arrive in support. I accept it would make Mith more potent as a killer, but his mobility slows him down. He is normally with allies when engaging at the moment, so his morale stays neutral, and oration can boost him. I am not a speedrunner, but like to maintain multiple lines of march, so often have a cav gen, inf gen and archer gen as tips of the spear with some garrison troops following as I push in multiple directions or run through the north and along the African coast simultaneously.

It's usually a good idea to give the Laurel crown to a general that has morale based skills. Especially in decisive battle, you want to make sure that your general with high morale-critical hit skills have high morale. I think that giving Arminius the Crown is a good idea if Mithridates is too slow. Antony is a bit weak without some attack item so I would suggest giving him a crossbow/other attacking item. Of course, you can play whatever way you want and if it works for you, keep doing it.

Forget all of them. Belisarius incoming. Hwait a minute. Does this mean they are extending the game to the fall of Rome? Apart from working on EW7 and/or updating Windows, they are doing this? I mean, love the game, love the concept, but why, ET?

Attila: 4675/7997, ArchCom 4, Accuracy 4, Advantage 4, Marching 3 Belisarius: 4444/7866, CavCom 3, Guerrilla 3, Assault 3, PF 2, 580 medals New banners for Attila and Spartacus which increases all skills by 1, Attila banner gets EW5 plunder, Spartacus banner grants the strength of a max stack and doesn't need to wait for recruiting additional stacks. Oh, and there's a new campaign scenario on the Scourge of God.

I would just like to mention that Belisarius is stoic's EC.

Have any Idea of their talents? Bran new talents. Attila's icon is a crown, and Belisarius' is a trebuchet.

I would just like to mention that Belisarius is stoic's EC. Belisarius is one of the greatest generals in late antiquity. Procopius rated him as the third greatest general after Alexander and Hannibal. Unfortunately his battles are not known well today.

Haha Caesar gets stabbed again and is Belisarius now the best Cav general from the academy (Arminius, you had your moment with the introduction of artifacts) or will there serious contenders for his slot in decisive battles!?
