Raider > IL, unsure about the next one (does street fighting work when attacking a city from the outside?), and Ace is pretty underrated imo. Perhaps it is due to never using infantry generals but they typically never take AF damage unlike tanks. agree, just like AA > PL, Raider is a must have for inf. gen. street fighting only work inside the city, and we know that putting an inf. gen in a city to defend is a big mistake. Ace add units rank via experience faster than normal. higher unit rank means higher damage, higher defence, and higher hp. gonna test later on how fast it affect, and compare to a gen without ace force.

For speed running the only really useful situation I could see him in is 1980 runs because of all the empty cities. Maybe 1943 along the Chinese coast + Thailand? or siberia and Africa

I'd rate Yamashita over MacArthur as an infantry general without a doubt because: Raider>IL, Bayonet>SF (Infantry dies fast so you don't want to put it in cities to get attacked. Street fighting is only useful for tank gens.), Ace forces, I think is slightly better than Entrenchment. I would rate MacArthur equal to Rundstedt and Mannerheim as an infantry general, Mannerheim becomes the worst when they are upgraded.

If street fighting does not even work when attacking cities then it has to be the worst skill in the same. Non-AF generals should almost never be in cities, especially weak defense ones like infantry. An infantry general at his best will be a mechanized infantry in the plains of The USSR or Africa with a motorized to capture the cities it cracks. Respectfully, I think MacArthur is one of his novelties.

The best one will be Egyptian & Iraqi Commando then, +75% in the dessert & +65% against tank, the only minus is not as fast as mech. inf. by 2 points

I still, however, think that he can be quite powerful with investment. In addition, one of his primary users, Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus, loves this man, so it is not, perhaps, a unique novelty.

What is your lineup? Buy Inf. gen if you already have 3 tanks 2 arty and 1 Navy. Inf.Gen is useless in campaign. Dont forget to upgrade your tech. ps to above: the Massive OP title only belongs to Guderian, Konev, and Dönitz, because McA is not that great. lmao my line in wc4 is bad so imma tell you anyway guderian(red title) crerar(green title) messe who i selled his soul to get rundstedt(aslo green title)

Well, some people (include me) made mistakes by buying useless gen/skills. There's so many useful guide in the library/gens library to avoid another mistake/ stuck in the game for too long. Enjoy the game and good luck.

I have Mannerheim, and he is good. His damage is high, considering that infantry is weaker than other types of unit. But in your case the question is more if you need an infantry general at all.

When fully upgraded, Rundstedt is Mannerheim+street fighting so the difference is minimal. Yamashita is better but much more expensive. I can't say anything about MacArthur though. Never played with him.

You will Give Mannerheim IL and Vasilevsky Raider, so it is Ace + Entrenchment vs. Elastic Defense + Jungle. I think the point goes to Vasilevsky.

I think the point goes to Vasilevsky. No, I will give rumour to atleast my own Mannerheim. As I have argued in various threads Mannerheim is superb in the start but the more medals you can spend the worse he gets compared to other generals. As to Rundstedt, Vasilevski and MacArthur: - Rundstedt: Street fighting < Jungle fighting, by a lot Elastic defense = Elastic defense Guerilla < Raider The extra skill slot still doesn't help as Rundstedt has no hood damage dealing skills but Mannerheim has two. MacArthur: Street fighting < Jungle fighting Entrenchment > Elastic defense Infantry leader < Raider If both fully upgraded MacArthur's extra skill slot makes him slightly better than Mannerheim in my opinion. Vasilevski: Infantry leader < Raider Entrenchment > Elastic defense Ace forces < Jungle fighting. In my opinion Jungle fighting + Raider is enough damage so Mannerheim can get rumour which is enough survivability considering the Great Soldier medal. Vasilevski has to get Raider or he will fail to do any damage.
