I am considering investing in Moctezuma but I want to know if he is suitable for endgame. I only want to spend large amounts of medals on generals I know I will use in the very end which is why I am asking. So, is Moctezuma an endgame general? Thanks!

He's not the strongest archer, but he absolutely can be an endgame general: I've used him in my InfCom team and stoic has used him several times. Leadership is very useful and he's one of only two with Cure Master. Furthermore, now that we need extra generals for the Arena, Hard mode missions and Greek Trial III I think he will make most people's squads.

As a side note, I finally beat Nordic Trial 1! I did it with Edward-Nobunaga-Moctezuma-Alexander-Barbarossa-Atilla. All were 3 stars except Alexander and Moctezuma. For upgrades, Atilla had max braveness+lvl 6 cav commander and Nobunaga-Edward had lvl 6 leadership. My strategy was basically Atilla solo for all the easy battles and then 2 waves of weak generals to take out the minions+some wall. Then, my strong team takes down Odin.

So do you think it is worth it for me to upgrade his Leadership to lvl 6 to make legend mode easier? Also, era IV means era 4 right? Because then you can get some very advanced generals at only discovery age (aka petain).

nvrmind I just went ahead and did it. It only costs ~300 medals to get Mocte's Leadership to lvl 6 anyway

There is an interesting tactical decision as well. At level 6 he gets two abilities: - 50% damage when attacked by cavalry and 75% probability to attack without retaliation. But at level 5 he will keep his usual + 50% bonus against cavalry. So, it is possible to go either way. It depends on your tactical needs.

I think that all 3 Mocte's skills are extremely useful in new hard mode battles. I usually skipped his third skill, but now it seems to me that it is of some use as well.

randomperson, Imo every general needs a sort of regen for longer survialbility. Now correct me if I'm wrong but I think investing in a cure master general is WAY better than wasting a bunch of your medals buying lucky crowns or something. At max, cure master can heal 150 health for 3 rounds with a radius of 2, that means 450 health in total. It offers Moctezuma and other nearby generals a temporary regen + leadership is always great to have. Decreasing the enemies' attack is better than defense imo because you'll survive a lot longer when their attack is weaker, giving you more turns to attack. The fort healing trait is situational, but it really helps when that situation comes around. I bring to mind the second mission of the Aztec Dynasty in Discovery Age. The castle has to be protected and having Moctezuma there to heal it makes it easier to beat the mission. He's a pretty good blue general really. Speaking of which, being blue, his skills and what-not cost less to upgrade. Give him some love and you won't regret it.
