EW5 is semi fictional and its ok, it was like that from the start, but turn in historical game in semi fictional is not my cup of tea.

Yeah sure, terorist plot in WC4 is cool for example... But whole new game universe like Tiberian sun and stuff like that, is a bit complex to make, dont know if Easytech is that large company, and i presume its a bit risky, its easier to include history scenarios...

I'm curious about Mammoth and Goblin. Does it make GCR become "LOTR" lite Actually I won't mind if they will make a phantasy world one day. It might be interesting. GoG2 was a failure, but it had nothing to do with the main plot. I hope they will buy a good server too, so that we could play multiplayer conquests. It will be a huge step forward. I don't have any problem with phantasy strategy games (I did play a lot of them such as FF tactics, Brigandine, Fire emblem or Super robot war taisen...) . But it's better in seperate game IMO. It's weird when a soldier who fought with sword and shield now become a summoner 🤣🤣.

To me, the setting of GOG2 was the major turnoff. Other than that and being impossible late game, it was IMO the best ET game out there.

THAT IS COMPLETELY OVERPOWERED. I do wish they could have done real units. But Belisarius on the Mammoth. B)

Where do the goblin and mammoth come from in the historical strategy of antiquity ?! Greetings from Ew5? Why not an elf and a dinosaur? And the dragon is even cooler ... It was possible to make famous ancient mercenaries, such as Balearic slingers, or famous warriors such as Spartans ... There are many options. You don't even need to read smart books, just watch Rome Total War.

You don't even need to read smart books, just watch Rome Total War. My best guess is that the player's base of those who like and know history is rather limited. So, they are trying to create something for a broad public. And I have to admit that in modern day culture people know more about goblins than about Spartans
