Ummm... That would go to politics, but I do recognize his part in the Winter War, but that is it. Continuation War was an attack with Germany and a plan of Barbarossa. No need to mention the Finnish civil war and White terror. Also his political beliefs.

And of course Vorošilov was also responsible for countless deaths and misery and I strongly politically disagree with him and the historic Soviet Union, but Mannerheim is from Finland and he is considered a national hero on both the left and right wing. And arguably all historical generals were "evil" to some extent. But it's just that no one says Hitler was a great strong leader, unfortunately however people like Stalin and Mannerheim are often given that title.

So Winter War's outcome was positive imo, the hate towards Mannerheim doesn't come from the love to the Soviet Union but rather from love to people.
