Completely. His major wars ones are pretty bad. The minor wars are good. Major wars and numerous other topics are like that in general. "Normal" people glossing over a subject may simplify or perhaps even over-simplify it. The channel takes it even further at times for historical events. I guess this is when we have to remind ourselves of the channel's goal and not to take it too seriously or at face value. IMO, it is still worth watching to pique your interest and act as a starting point for delving deeper into certain aspects of history. It's not that its oversimplified, it's that he talks more about the siege of Tobruk than the siege of Leningrad. Which is not acceptable by any means If you want to present the whole war. |

Tobruk, even for the war for North Africa or the Western Front, was not as decisive as one of the big three major confrontations of the Eastern Front. Even if he more focused on showing off Rommel's abilities or the tenacity of the Western Allied states, even as their efforts were crippled, Tobruk itself should not receive as much attention. |
