I'm making a mod based on 194ad in china, basically the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Changes would only be the following:
-Flags
UPDATE AS OF 23/09/2021:
-Edited the map to be more geopolitically correct, basically it's china turned upside down and flipped right to left.
LATEST UPDATE AS OF 10/10/2021:
-Further fine-tuned the map
-Added 200 AD conquest, which is a showdown between Cao Cao and Yuan Shao.
-Edited unit stats, changes listed below
(Militia, Line, Grenadier, and Guards infantry health; tier 1=75, tier 2=100, tier 3=150)
(Light infantry gets 3-hex movement, albeit with lower health; tier 1 =65, tier 2 = 90, tier 3 = 140)
(All Artillery gets the following health; tier 1= 50, tier 2= 75)
(Yellow Turbans (Sima Ju) gets much more infantry health in each tier compared to other factions, although his cavalry and artillery is at a lower health compared to other factions. All his units do not deal as much damage as other Factions.
Biggest new feature in the update is the repurposing of generals. In the three kingdoms lore, there were famous commanders who were great at commanding, famous military administrators and strategists who supported the army, and famous warriors who were known solely for their great martial might rather than commanding.
Commander classes always have both the Dragon and Lion Banner Skill, both of which has 7 levels.
Dragon Banner (+Attack)
1=4
2=8
3=12
4=16
5=20
6=24
7=28
Lion Banner (+Defense)
1=5
2=7
3=10
4=12
5=17
6=21
7=24
This is the database for the commanders put into the mod which contain their skills, and stats.
Commander classes would include (+Attack and +Defense) numbers right beside their name; If they are a warrior, then "Warrior" would be in place instead of command skill numbers; If they are Strategists/Military Administrators, then "Support would be in place. If they have no speciality, then "None".
Military Administrators/ Strategists get one slot occupied by the eagle flag, which has 3 levels, and have another vacant slot.
1=5
2=10
3=15
This way, Standard units get their capabilities enhanced when under a commander, just like how it is in real life. Warriors who are also beside commanders would have increased attack&def as well, basically turning them into glorified bodyguards/vanguards.
Each general's Infantry and Cavalry stats represent their skill in fighting, instead of what we used to view as their commanding skill.
Artillery stat represents their skill in archery, with the exception of Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang, who has their high artillery stat for their acumen in implementing complex formations based on the romanticized novel.
Here is each of the general's database which includes their skills and stats (The original names are written beside the current chinese name for modding purposes): docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ca9sBSQHIFYR81tn8LU9S2PK1ufdsDgMGbCnV2CuxJc/edit?usp=sharing
Unfortunately, I don't know how to make it so that generals are not bought yet could come with equipped items (banners, in this case)...
*Banners could be easily found at the shop in the first mission of each campaign.*
Faction Summary:
Cao Cao= Strong Cavalry and strong Guard Infantry
Yuan Shao= Strong Infantry
Liu Bei= Strongest Infantry roster, Toughest Forts in the game and 2nd strongest Navy roster, albeit everything else is average
Sun Ce & Liu Biao= All land units are average; All Naval units + coastal fort are the strongest in the game
Lu Bu & Ma Teng= Average infantry units, but cavalry roster is the strongest in the game
Sima Ju= Very high health points for all infantries, with reduced damage for all units. Lower average health points for artillery and cavalry
Yuan Shu= Average Units
Gongsun Zan= Awesome Cavalry roster, with Light and Guard cavalry being ranged cavalry, which represent's the game's version of the white horse cavalry under gongsun zan. Infantry and artillery are average.

Changes would only be the following:
-Flags
-Generals
-Music (got it from Three kingdoms conqueror)
-City Textures (TKC also)
-Unit stats
Due to my lack of knowledge on how to tinker with hex editor(s) to change borders and add units/generals. I also do not know how to change unit skins and animations so these are the only things I could implement. I might try to get the mod checked later once I'm done with it.
