I will be adding you Thanks! I wasn't so sure about Kiev since I only knew about 4 regions in the world about early human civilisation, according to my education.

Is this group still a thing and if so can I get into it? PS. All the quiz questions seem kind of easy, go ahead and *really* go for it ð

Is this group still a thing and if so can I get into it? PS. All the quiz questions seem kind of easy, go ahead and *really* go for it ð Okay, let's see... 1. Analyse the impact of climate change on the frequency of hurricanes in the 21st century. 2. Analyse the formation of the early city of Rome from surrounding villages. Discuss the roles of different peoples and regions in the early history of Rome (until mid 6th century BCE). 3. Analyse the role and nature of the Alps throughout history. Now, I'll think of proper questions...

Discuss the roles of different peoples and regions in the early history of Rome (until mid 6th century BCE). 3. Analyse the role and nature of the Alps throughout history. Now, I'll think of proper questions... 1. That's not strictly geography, is it? Not a meteorologist, but as far as I'm aware there's no conclusive evidence of a change in the frequency of hurricanes in the 21st century. 2. That's definitely more history than geography, but anyway - one dude was playing in the dirt, another dude laughed at him, so first dude hits second dude over the head with a shovel. And that actually describes most of Roman history. If you want the boring version, then Etruscans blah blah blah. 3. And that's geopolitics. Natural barrier, great natural defense offset by Italy's long and exposed coastline and the inability of the Italians to get along with each other, leading to Machiavelli writing The Prince because he just wanted somebody to unite Italy already. Hannibal and Suvorov led armies across them. Their nature throughout history has been pointy and snowy. Mont Blanc is not the highest mountain in Europe.

I thought meteorology would fall under the umbrella of geography, but anyways. I just pulled that question from my bottom. 2. I should have left the second part out. I was more looking for why and how the city of Rome formed and what impacts geography and surrounding settlements had on the city. But anyway Mont Blanc is enough for you to get in.

FWIW, the hurricane question isn't really a wild one - there does seem to be an uptick in the *severity* of hurricanes, although it's not conclusive. There have been bad periods in the past and we really only have complete data for the last half a century or so. It's not really geography but it is something I have a casual interest in. On 2, I couldn't really answer that. I know about the seven hills and the Tiber, but that's about it. Disclaimer: I have a personal interest in the Mont Blanc question. I haven't been to Mont Blanc (though I've been in the Alps) and I have been up to 4,000 meters on Elbrus ð
