But aren't the uniforms absutely op? They add 15% damage to the unti itself and 15% to surrounding cavalry/infantry/archer/navy legions. So if I put the cavalry one on Pompey and the archer and infantry ones on Commander and Belisarius once I vet him, virtually everyone hets atleast +15% damage if they move together. Or does it work some other way? Unlike Ew6, I think aura skills aren’t that really great in this game.plus,Uniforms costs too much I’d rather get other items and upgrade the skills and ranks of generals. Why wouldn't aura skills be great? Upgrading ranks and skills is super expensive and has little to no effect, while uniforms add a 15% aura damage bonus and a bonus to the general carrying the uniform.

Actually upgrading ranks and skills can be pretty good.Certain skills like shield wall, gurellia are worth upgrading even though they are expensive. As for aura, I only buy consul scepter.Aura is not useless, but it’s not a must here I think.

Yeah, but I think it's much mire effective than spendong tbe medals to improve health by 5-10%.

But either way,you have to upgrade ranks and skills in the late game.I think upgrading to Marshall rank really worth’s it because you can recruit 4 stacks without waiting between 3rd and 4th stacks. Its nice if you have aura uniforms but don’t buy them right away, only after getting core generals and items like Golden Spear,Laurel crown, Aura uniforms should be considered. And Golden Spear totally worths buying. After getting core generals go for it.

Kliment Jefremovitš Vorošilov , for items in general, just get the ones that give movement and damage. Ignore the uniforms(tho the one for cavalry will be useful for decisive battles), and you'll be fine. They aren't really too op in GCR. The thing about GCR is that it's more general centric rather than EW6 where you want that infantry spam. This is because you can easily replenish your forces by capturing cities and building units over your generals. So stronger generals=uniforms. Better to spend them on upgrading rank to Marshall and upgrading skills like assault, commander skills and such over getting the items. They will be useful in decisive battles however. I'd probably get them when you reach the 2nd to the last decisive battles, but I never needed to buy any of them. The navy one is the most important for the Sicilian decisive battles, but it's given for free and cleopatra exists. That said tho, I have Spartacus and Hannibal, so take my comment with a grain of salt. Medals come in quick due to thr ability to farm decisive battles, you can buy all the uniforms in like a week without much issue.

Deleted How many generals should I get before upgrading them? There's no magic number, but having at least 8 should be enough for most campaigns, with 3/4 cavalry, 3 infantry and 1/2 archer generals. I'd prioritize more on cavalry and Pompey, and your commander of course.

Okay, so maybe Commander, Huo, Belisarius, Pompey, Vercingetorix, Crassus, Mithridates, Pedius I'd focus on maxing out the commander, Huo's assault, Belisarius and Pompey(except plain fighting, flat 20 isn't too good in isolation for the medal cost really) and maybe Mithridate's advantage and archer commander. For Crassus, siege and march is all he needs, tho you'll probably be able to max tunnel and counterattack since he's your only general who would use those scrolls. Unlike other ET games, improving crit chance for your key generals (commander if you go the crit route, Huo and Belisarius) is great for offense and clearing out objectives faster. Especially Belisarius, since he has cavalry commander. It's beautiful seeing him land 4 hits in a row and they all crit.

One more thing, will the navy buff uniform be enough or do I need Agrippa/Cleopatra? You'll only need them during the Sicilian decisive battles. And they're optional to do. I did finish them before i completed the last decisive battles, tho it's hardly necessary, and it's better to focus more on gaining cav generals and maybe some archer generals for the final decisive battles(the Han one is the easiest to farm). Outside decisive battles, they're hardly necessary. Just buy both , give Agrippa the uniform, level them up and max their navy, finish the sicilian decisive battles, and then sell them afterwards(or keep them, your choice).
