Soo, we know that Mac is THE best infantry general in the game, let alone infantry allied general. But who is second best?

Well I think It will depend on what they are going to do, or are you trying to get an all rounder general?

I think Vaily is an Urban fighter, also the boost in attack looks good only if he outnumbers the enemy and so in 40 coins you can get him with a + 10 attack

Then Dowding is another great option, he is an air general that can be used greatly in paratrooping, this also helps in the long term with + 10 damage when enemies attack or when you're attacking and that morale drop is also good

Bradley has jungle fighting so I guess you can use and the Reserve helps him gain more hp for less and Infantry leader is also helpful

Slim might be a hit and run for he might not survive in open fields and with guerilla and +6 damage he seems like the hit and run

Tassigny is the infantry killer with fire suppresion and guerilla, he should survive longer then a lot of the gens, also all the generals except dowding have 2 speed, but dowding has one so We have to take care of that

Vote for me!! I have the ability to attack multiple times, expert in jungle warfare (jungles are pretty common in Gog3) and also I provide extra value to your money when you replenish me.

you only have a good infantry leader but the rest are trash . slim better imo . more damage , more survivability with guerilla and same skill ( reserve)

How about Dowding I mean you also have a paratrooper as well as being able to use the skies with more damage, So whereas some generals can go and focus on one place, Dowding can help several places with his air support, though If you want an all-rounder slim is fine he can do more damage and again he can heal more then whats worth for, Want someone to banzai from jungles? Get Bradley he should be able to dish out nice damage before going to hiding once again, Want someone to garrison an important place, get Vasily he will crush most of his opponents with that extra boost of crowd tactics, want to have someone who can be like slim except less cost, Tassigny can help, he should be likable to suppress most attacks as well as use some guerilla

Welcome to Convoluted Logic with Gerd, the part of the show where Gerdy comes out and does convoluted logic.
I would say that I think by far the most overrated gen in the game is Slim. Tassigny is way better than him, but he continues to hold the title of most bought. Tassigny's FS is OP combined with Guerilla, and I put it above Reserve and BC combined. I put VR slightly worth more than a star simply because It is easy to hit demoralized troops.
That being said, the IMO best secondary allied infantry gen in the game for the allies is Clark. Yes, you heard me. Clark. "But he is so bad. His Amphibious and Navy stars are useless, and he has no movement." Hear me out. I will compare him to Slim.
For now, let us completely ignore his Amphibious and Navy stars. Poof. Gone. So all he has is 3 stars infantry, Silver IL, and Plunder. We can agree that IL is absolutely OP, right? Even if it is silver, I would still put it equal to Reserve and a star. Reserve being absolutely trash, and a star being really good, +5 attack on both attack and counterattack. So Slim, once simplified, has Guerilla, 2 Movement, and BC instead of Plunder. Slim clearly wins, right? Well, yes, but not by as much of a margin as you would think.
You see, there is one major difference that makes Plunder on Rundstedt only good, while Plunder on Clark ABSOLUTELY OP. You see, Clark has access to the Ranger. This, especially when paired with IL, makes Clark pretty much invincible. I bonused the Ranger's Defense and HP to keep the Ranger alive, while Clark is fighting easily long after MacArthur dies. I would put his Plunder around equal to Guerilla and Movement, just because, unlike Guerilla, it is very consistent survivability, plus it can trigger a ton. BC is thrown in there because Plunder is just that much better than Guerilla. Also, BC isn't great, but I digress.
In the end, Clark has an additional 30 damage at sea versus 2 movement. It is a very situational skill, but since Movement doesn't matter much, I still put it way higher than Movement.

Slim trash, worse than Malinovsky; Clark OP, better than MacArthur.
