I brought Ludendorff for his daily 50 medals and his general. I finally made the effort and completed the civil war campaign and am at the Attack of the Eagle. I sent my whole force after Stuart and was surprised by the forces that appeared from the west. I managed to quickly beat Stuart and divert my forces back west. Ludendorff and Stonewall are the generals I will upgrade and keep long term. With more generals unlocked, I want to buy the generals I will use in the longterm With help from the general ranking thread to find the highly rated generals, I will buy Straubenburg and Macmahon for infantry, Beseler and Ivanov for artillery, and Hipper for navy

You can delay getting Hipper for a while, until Chapter 5 (even then, I could beat it with free generals). With Hipper saving, you could get Lee.

Do you already have Hipper? Because if not, you should really get him (I got Hipper in Chapter VIII Balkan Lion, Bulgarian Campaigns). If you don't have Plumer yet, maybe get him as he hits around 80-160 (120-160 are crits) damage. Also I'd suggest Ivanov as your 3rd Artillery General :>

Honestly, I would get Plumer over Stepanovic. Plumer has Stonewall stats, so basically you get another Stonewall.

Honestly, I would get Plumer over Stepanovic. Plumer has Stonewall stats, so basically you get another Stonewall. Plumer indeed looks strong but I replaced a skill on my stonewall with cavalry master. Plumer has cavalry master as well. it feels awkward to have 2 generals with the skill, and using more textbooks to replace the skill doesn't feel like a effective use.

The first level in the civil war campaign seemed like the best for autofarming so I used a auto clicker app to auto it. I feel like any issues with gold and getting my generals exp are pretty much alleviated with this. I can just leave it overnight to gain gold and exp for the generals I deployed.

Beware that you might want to refrain from upgrading your tech in 1914. In challenges conquests the tech level of your enemies depends on your tech level, so the ideal choice is to only upgrade movement and population. is this really true? Man, its already bad enough with the AI spammed us with units.
