As long as there is still content to finish, I will continue to grind those medals each day. Around 10 weeks in and 750 missions completed. Lots more to do

I think I may be able to keep my progress if I transfer my device data to a newer ios device. I don't have a new ios device currently but its something I will keep in mind. In case that's not possible, then restarting on another device is not so bad. After all, you have completed "only" about 60% percent of the game, if we consider the new content. It would be annoying for the waste of time in grinding medals and for the loss of the IAPs, though. A few months ago when this was posted, the thought of restarting kinda annoyed me. But now I am more open to it and have redownloaded EW6 on my android phone a few days ago. I don't see myself getting a new ios device and getting my old progress back. I made progress on easytech games on my android phone and I realise I would not bring this progress if I get a ios device. So when I get a new device, I decided its going to be android to keep that progress, and that its not a guarantee I can transfer my ios progress to a ios new device if I get one. When I played EW6 the first time I didn't realise the power of commander skill for the unit types. I did not use any generals with a commander skill. I will try to use the commander skills this team. I am feeling like going for a archer team so I am planning to get Washington (a 2nd time). I have a backlog of other easytech games I want to make progress and playthrough, including EW7. So I haven't done much in EW6. Right now I only played the sparta campaign on the day I downloaded and am just watching the ads since then.

If you are planning to collect daily resources as you've done in ew6 1914, then you won't make much in the beginning. It's absolutely worth getting as many princesses as you can for their daily gifts. The best princesses require quite some progress in empire mode, but having daily gifts of literature will allow you to avoid grinding literature in conquests. I remember trying the game first in 2017 and I dropped it because literature grind really bothered me. Then I restarted it one year ago and it was all much quicker. I also advise not using other gold generals for a while, besides Washington, so you can save a lot of medals in upgrades.

I will try to spent a few sessions getting through this game to the point I can collect a good amount of daily resources. With Washington I should be able to speed through the early parts of the game.

With Washington I should be able to speed through the early parts of the game. I don't remember if you can know the princesses' daily rewards before building their cities. In case you can't, this is the relevant thread. If you want to know a good point where you can interrupt your playthrough to just stack up resources, then it might be after you get a princess for every kind of resource (or at least Nefertari and Isabella) and also when getting to the point where you can easily replay a nordic trial (30 medals worth) 6 times a day (it might take 10-15 mins for 3 times) in legend mode. But even then you wouldn't make much, so I recommend to have all princesses, 155 cities (for 10 daily missions) and to be able to repeat the nordic decisive battle (40 medals worth), but that would mean getting to discovery or gunpowder age, or even industrial. Repeating nordic trial I or the nordic decisive battle is also useful because you get blue coins that you can exchange for holy relics (you need them to upgrade artifacts). Don't exchange blue coins for other resources, just holy relics.

I reached the medieval age. Washington can carry me through the medieval age and perhaps the empire age but I want to have some consideration for building my team and do something with my medals.
I need advice on developing my team, mainly on what generals to get and develop.
In any other easytech game. I can simply look up what are generally agreed/ranked as the best generals for the unit types and focus on getting them. But EW6 complicates this a lot due to the usage of commander teams which focus on a specific unit type. I am pretty hesitant on developing a non-archer general, even if they are rated highly.

I went for Attila and then saved for Nobunaga. I also kept using Alexander, but considering how expensive it is to upgrade a gold general, maybe I would have been better off with Barbarossa. In the first ages there is no need to have a commander team, it becomes necessary later on. Here I wrote a lot of stuff for a newbie. You certainly are no newbie to this game and et games in generals, but in that post I summed up the main things to consider (and I'm too lazy to re-write all that stuff...). And stop calling this game ew6! You'll hurt the game's feelings

I might as well bring and upgrade Jebe, Moctezuma, and Pachacuti too, feels like I will inevitably use them once I get the archer team sorted I blame the amount of EW games for my confusion

I am at the Empire age now. There is Nobunaga available now so I will try to save for him.

I just reached the discovery age. I upgraded late at level 41 and this was due to my lack of literature. I haven't been playing through the campaign and getting those literature spots. I been using my free challenges to play the first Nordic Trial and get resources from it. Currently my generals are not strong enough to defeat the final enemy.

I suggest using the blue coins only for holy relics. There are no good options to get them: besides some achievement rewards, you get 1 from some daily missions and a tiny amount from legend mode. There is no princess that gives them as daily bonus. Some countries in the ragnarok conquest give them as reward, but it's a very long conquest and no sane man would farm holy relics from it.

I just purchased Nobunaga. I will save and get Nelson and Li Hongzhang next once they are available. I nearly have all of the princesses, I will probably get the last 2 in the next few days.

Reached a milestone here. I have my first general upgraded to this last stage.
