I'm at 240,000 points, that is 60k away from getting all the rewards. Against the current teams (at least 3 gold generals and the rest mostly purple), I can reliably defeat the bronze 16 vs 16 option. Everything above would involve heavy s/l or is outright impossible as they always include either Washington or Napoleon or both. This means 3000 points a day and 20 days until completion.
However, if I could consistently beat the gold team, that would yield 4500 points and take only 14 days.
Here's my team: Attila60, Braveness10 Saladin60, Logistics7 Nobunaga60, Leadership6, Spy6 Nelson60,
Li H.60, Leadership6, Li Sh.60, Barabrossa50, Leadership6, Moctezuma50, Leadership6, Catherine60, Petain60, Joan60, Blucher60, Cleopatra50, Khalid40, Bismarck50, Rumor6,
Jhansi40, and all the coin generals at their starting level as well as all the free equipment that doesn't cost medals.
Which improvements would you suggest in order to make this team competitive for the golden 16 vs 16 battles? Is it even realistic or should I be glad I made it this far with a team of pretenders ?
The budget would be 6*700=4200 medals and I would prefer not to "waste" too much on generals that I won't use again after Arena but let's make the latter a soft constraint.

I was more or less in your situation with more or less your same generals. I could only win the bronze tier in 16vs16 battles (sometimes silver if there wasn't Washington) and in the end I was struggling even with that one, I kept finding 5 or 6 gold generals including Washington, even with the 3 refreshes. It gets only more difficult towards the end.
Instead of Barbarossa, Joan, Blucher, Cleopatra, Khalid, Jhansi, I used Alexander, Hannibal, Robin Hood, Peter, Edward, Mulan, the rest were the same. These last generals were at lvl 60 but with unupgraded skills (except Alexander's spy and attack master and Edward's leadership). Check my guide for Fougeres to see my main generals skills, they have been the same for some months, with just some items less. Just ignore Pachacuti and Barbarossa who are later additions (never used them in the arena).
The key, as you already know, is leadership. Keep upgrading it to the max lvl for the generals you have. I also upgraded Edward just for the arena, although I never used him elsewhere, but even without him you should do just fine (for some time). Try to avoid Washington and possibly also Nobunaga (and especially both at the same time!). Maybe consider upgrading Bismarck rumor. I found useful to keep Saladin in the rear at the beginning so the other generals bear the brunt of the attacks for the first turn and then Saladin arrives to attack debuffed units on turn 2 or 3. Your generals with leadership should be close to the most dangerous generals (but AI behaviour will certainly be frustrating). I fear that with time you will need more generals at level 60.

Do you know the trick to quick s/l (no need to wait 20 mins) to choose the best team for first battle and reload if the situation of battle becomes bad? Arena in general is the fight of debuff and archer, the more you have the easier to win the battle.

I took your implicit advice of only avoiding Washington and the crew showed its worth by giving me two sliver victories. Though things probably become worse after reaching level 19/20 I still have hope will leave you guys to explore the new update
Besides, there are only 2x200 medals to be gained after Pachacuti which is equal to two times the 12 hourly missions.

Yes, and I use it when things go much worse then they usually do, but it seems the pool of possible opposing team is fixed and limited. So it's more about picking one's poison with no easy way out (easiest being 3 golden generals without Washington). And restarting the battle more than 3 times to "optimize" damage ranges, buff luck and AI movement is when I consider it to be too time consuming.

Here is my team: - Washington - Suleiman - Richard - Nobunaga - Pachacuti - Napoleon - Li Hongzhang - Petain - Caesar - Nelson - Yi Sun-sin - Blucher - Joan of Arc - Bismarck - Hua Mulan - Cleopatra Almost of them maxed 2nd and 3rd skill.

Nice. Probably, you don't even have to manually position them for better chances at winning.

Turns out the game updates automatically unless I deactivate this option in the play store so Arthur will also be avoided

Clear data or Delete Application Data, but note that it will clear your conquest as conquest data is not part of the cloud save. So if you are in the middle of doing conquest, and do not want to start over DO NOT clear data.

I see. But once a conquest is completed, prices are received and this is saved to cloud, then I don't miss anything by clearing cache?
